Crescent Beach, part 3: New Friends
By: Luna Gomamon
==============================

Weeks had passed. Bukamon had an even bigger crush on this

female Buka than he did at the pond. One afternoon, the strangest

thing happened! 7 kids fell out of the sky, screaming loudly, and

landed in the lush forest of File Island. This caused great

excitement throughout the In-Training Digimon friends. "I don't

know why," said Tsunomon, "but something tells me we should go and

greet these human children!" And so, they bounded toward the child

their instinct told them to go to. Bukamon, gliding in the direction

of the boy with blue hair and spectacles, looked behind himself.

"Luna! ...Luna?" He couldn't find her anywhere. His instinct drove

him out of his strange trance, and told him to go to the boy in

glasses. "Gaah!" The boy cried. "Wh-what the heck are you?!"

"I'm Bukamon! I have been sworn to protect you, through and

through!" The boy seemed to relax a bit at the small creature's

cheery tone. "I-I'm Jyou Kido. Jyou or Joe is fine with me."

"Pleased to meet you, Jyou!" Exclaimed Bukamon as he perched upon

Jyou's shoulder. "We should find the others," Jyou said, beginning

to head into the heavily shrubbed area...

---

With a bit of luck, the children found each other. Tanemon

belonged to a girl named Mimi Tachikawa. Yokomon with Sora

Takenouchi; Tsunomon with Yamato Ishida; Tokomon with Takeru

Takaishi; Koromon with Taichi Kamiya, and Motimon with Koushiro

Izumi. Bukamon wondered where Luna disappeared to. "Say, Jyou,"

asked Bukamon. "Have you seen another Bukamon around here? With

violet eyes?" Jyou thought a moment, as Koushiro's face

brightened. "I think I saw a violet-eyed Bukamon earlier!" "When?"

"Minutes before Motimon ran into me, I saw the Bukamon you were

looking for. The problem was, it had a panicky look on its face

as it flew away.." Bukamon sighed. "Should we go look for it?"

Asked Sora. "Her," Bukamon corrected. "Okay. Let's go look for

her," Taichi said.

---

The searched droned on all day. The children were

exhausted. They all decided to rest for the night, and continue

looking the next morning. Before Bukamon closed his eyes to sleep,

he heard a soft, lulling song dancing in the air. As if the song

had control over his eyelids, they began to close, as he drifted

off to sleep...
