Seasons
It's Winter now,
And the air is crisp
The wind's in a rush,
The snow in wisps.
The sky is blinding,
Clear of all things,
The bird's in a hush;
What peace Winter brings.
As the ice melts away,
The animals come out to play
The birds in the sky diving
And flying, and tweeting all day.
It's Spring now,
And the sky is blue
The sun is dancing,
The clouds are in hues
The breeze gets hot
And the sun's ablaze
The earth goes dry;
The plants in a daze
The Summer's here
The asphalt stings
The sprinklers all spray
Fresh lemonade to cool the steam.
The North winds come,
And clouds return
To shield the sky
And stop the burn
With the sun gone
The leaves change colors
And neighbors come out
With all their leaf blowers
Autumn is now here
And the seasons restart;
Watch as nature plays out
What starts in my heart.
