DISCLAIMER: I do not own Sailor Moon or related characters. They are property of Naoko Takeuchi and Toei Animation. The only character I own is the guy who works at the junkyard.
This fanfic is based on episode 94, one of my favorite episodes, which features my favorite monster of the week.
THE ESTATE OF NIBIRU-MUL PRESENTS
RETURN OF THE ELEPHANT
It had only been last night that Sailor Moon had recovered Unazuki's Heart Crystal from Osoji. Now what to do with her vacuum? Unazuki was going to notice that her beloved elephant vacuum cleaner was missing. Unfortunately, this was going to be the last day that Usagi would be able to retrieve it, since the junkyard was going to be cleaned.
Usagi rushed down the streets.
"I have to get to the junkyard in time!" she said. "If I don't, Unazuki will be without a vacuum cleaner!"
As it was getting late, since after all Usagi had to go to school earlier, she was hurrying as fast as she could. Unfortunately, there was a red light and a crowd of people behind her. There was an old lady gossiping with her friend, a guy listening to loud music, a woman with a crying baby, and a guy walking a really loud poodle. All this noise drove Usagi crazy.
"Change..." said Usagi.
No response. She couldn't bear listening to all the annoying sound.
"CHANGE!" yelled Usagi.
The light changed to green, and Usagi crossed the crosswalk. She then escaped from the crowd of people. She then bolted past a yoshoku restaurant, where Haruka and Michiru were eating dinner. Haruka and Michiru did not notice her, but did look out the window. Finally, Usagi arrived at the junkyard. She looked through the various cars, but there was no sign of the vacuum cleaner - someone must have moved it. A tall young man with a pageboy heircut was busy taking apart a Ford Explorer. Usagi approached him, hoping he wouldn't be annoyed to have someone talking to him during his job.
"Damn, I can't believe I'm putting another one of these crappy cars out of their misery!" said the guy.
"Hey, sir!" said Usagi.
The guy looked up at Usagi.
"Excuse me," said Usagi, "but did you happen to see a vacuum cleaner? It's about this high, and it looks like an elephant. My friend Unazuki is looking for it." Of course, she couldn't tell the guy the real reason why the elephant vacuum cleaner ended up there - that it had been the Daimon Osoji - because he wouldn't have believed her.
"I took apart the car that it was on earlier today," said the guy, "but I made sure the vacuum cleaner was safe, so I put it in the lost and found in the building over here. I figured that someone might be looking for it."
"Thanks!" said Usagi. She went over to the lost and found and retrieved the vacuum cleaner. Bringing it back to Unazuki's apartment was the hard part, and it took her longer than normal to lop it back there.
Finally, when it was already dark, Usagi knocked on Unazuki's door. Unazuki opened the door.
"Hello, Usagi," said Unazuki.
"Hello," said Usagi. "I found your vacuum cleaner." Usagi presented the elephant vacuum to Unazuki.
"Aw, thank you, thank you, thank you!" said Unazuki, hugging Usagi. "I was looking for it all over. I'm so glad you found it."
"It was the least I could do," said Usagi. "Hopefully you're not too shocked to see it after it turned into a monster."
"Not that much..." said Unazuki. "...okay, maybe a little. But I'll get over it eventually."
Unazuki took her vacuum cleaner inside.
"Do you want to stay for tea?" asked Unazuki.
"I'm afraid I can't," said Usagi. "I have to get home before my curfew."
"Okay," said Unazuki. "Bye, Usagi, and thanks again!"
"You're welcome, Unazuki," said Usagi.
Usagi left the apartment complex and hurried back home.
