"Alfred," Arthur hissed, trying to shake the American's arm from his shoulders. "I can't focus."
Alfred pouted at that. "Why do you care so much? You're the only one in here taking notes. Babe, c'mon." Alfred leaned in, pressing kisses to his boyfriend's cheek.
Arthur just huffed. He ignored the larger boy, continuing to take his notes dutifully. Junior Seminar was the first and likely only class he and his boyfriend would take together, since Alfred was getting his degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science while Arthur was studying English. They'd been dating ever since they met in freshman year, but their drastically different departments and schedules had never landed them a class together. It was just by chance that both of them were assigned to the same Junior Seminar lecture. Arthur was initially excited to be able to spend more time with his boyfriend, but Alfred was becoming more and more of a distraction.
The kisses were relentless, and Arthur was beginning to shrink under the heat of his American-football-playing boyfriend's muscular arm. "Al," he almost whimpered, so close to giving in. "Enough."
Alfred finally drew away, crossing his arms like a child. "Fine." He stubbornly looked ahead. "I have practice every day and a lot of work to do this week, so I don't have time to hang out. But you don't wanna spend time with me while we're together, that's fine."
Arthur rolled his eyes. "You always seem to find your way to my flat."
"Yeah, well, not this week." Alfred kicked his legs up on the empty seat in front of him. In the large lecture hall, nobody would notice.
Arthur sighed, going back to his notes. "Don't be childish, love."
"I'm not!" Alfred insisted, a little louder than he should've. He leaned forward to look at Arthur. "This class doesn't matter. I wanna kiss you."
"They're giving us important information about this year and graduation requirements," Arthur replied simply, not bothering to look up from his notebook. "I'd like to pay attention."
Alfred groaned, slumping back in his chair. "You're so annoying."
"Oh, am I?" Arthur asked, disinterested.
"Yeah, sometimes!" Alfred sat up a bit straighter, attempting to get Arthur's attention again. When he didn't receive it, he huffed and crossed his arms. Arthur finished writing his sentence, then looked at his boyfriend.
"I suppose I'm lucky that you put up with me, then."
Alfred couldn't help smiling a bit, but tried to still look angry. "Yeah, you are."
Arthur smiled back at him. "I'm very lucky to have you, aren't I?"
"Yeah," Alfred sat up a bit, leaning in. "Super lucky."
"The luckiest." Alfred allowed himself to smile fully at Arthur's words. Arthur wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's neck.
"Lucky that I love you so much," Alfred murmured. Arthur chuckled. With a pleased smile, he kissed his boyfriend slowly. He soon pulled away and pressed their foreheads together, gazing at his boyfriend with admiring eyes.
"I love you too, my darling." Arthur kissed him again quickly. "Now let me focus, and perhaps I'll treat you once you come home from practice."
Alfred was all too happy to sit through the rest of the class quietly.
