Be Strong

Disclaimer: I don't own Scrubs. I do however Cassie and Kally (J.D. and Dr. Cox's daughters)

"J.D."

I can hear the urgency in his voice as he says my name. I turn around in bed and I see the pain etched on his face. Then I see the blood on the sheets. I tell him to go get changed as I page Carla. She says that Turk is on call.

I drive us to the hospital and we go in through the back. Turk then immediately takes him into surgery. Carla takes me to the doctor's lounge which is thankfully empty. She tells me to sit on couch while she gets me a coffee.

When she comes back I am crying. She asks how far he is. "Six months," I answer.

She sighs. "He probably won't make it, Bambie."

"I know."

Before either of us can say anything more Turk walks in. He has a sad look on his face and I already know what h is going to say.

"Dr. Cox didn't make it," he says.

"What about...?" I ask.

"They're fine. They're in the NICU."

I sigh. I just lost my husband and my children don't have a very good chance of survival.

Turk sees that I am once again near tears, so he comes over to me and says, "Be strong, Dude."

A/N: I know I know. I skipped a lot. I'm sorry. I just couldn't think of anything for those in between months. And for all of you who were mad about what I did in the other story you can see the beginings of Turk and J.D.'s friendship being repaired. For all of you who are now mad about me killing off D. Cox trust me this story was extremely difficult to write. Perry Cox, M.D. R.I.P. ;(
