Bradley
Richard Castle rolled over in his bed with his arms outstretched he was fully intent on gathering his wife Kate into his arms; and cuddling with her till morning. So when Rick's hands hit the now cold wrinkled sheets he groaned; but he wasn't surprised it became a rather common occurrence since their son Bradley left for unknown reasons. Finding whatever strength he had left Rick stumbled out of bed rubbing his eyes as quietly as he could descend down the stairs. Without waking up anyone else he hoped he had an idea of where Kate might be. Rick then made his way to the kitchen standing in the doorway to the kitchen trying to suppress a on coming yawn Rick watched Kate for a few minutes before making his move. Coming up behind his wife Rick wrapped his arms around Kate's shoulders and pulled her against his chest.
After a few minutes Rick whispered into Kate's ear and said "Come back to bed Kate we'll find him don't worry." Kate didn't say anything for a few minutes she couldn't even begin to remember or began to wonder how long she was here in the kitchen. Kate just continued to look at a picture of Bradley letting the tips of her fingers trace the outline of his face she smiled sadly at the picture. It broke Kate's heart that he just upped and left just leaving a simple note with a extremely vague reason for why he left. Kate made herself some warm milk hoping that would calm her nerves and help her sleep; Kate felt Rick rub her back in a comforting motion leaning into his shoulder she closed her eyes for a few minutes enjoying Rick's comforting presences. Then with her eyes still closed and her voice cracking slightly before saying "I can't go back to bed Rick I can't sleep I won't be able to rest until I know Bradley's safe; and besides everytime I close my eyes I have some really bad nightmares about Bradley like he's never going to come back!"
By now Rick was fully awake and had Kate in his arms in a loving embrace as she now crying softly into Rick's shoulder. Rick and Kate were so wrapped up in their moment of sadness; that the pair failed to realize that Alexis heard everything and she was crying softly. To herself because just like the rest of the Castle family clan she missed Bradley as well. Alexis quietly slipped back into her bedroom before she was caught.
