Raven stood alone, looking at the party that was going on all around her. It hadn't exactly been the True Hearts Day that she had envisioned. She had been so stupid, mistaking Dexter's signature for Daring's and she could still feel her face burning at their last encounter. To make matters worse, Dexter had already moved on. And now she was standing alone whilst all around her, a wild and lively party was going on. One of the best she had ever been to in fact. If it hadn't been for the mess with Dexter then she would probably be up there dancing. She felt her face burn as she remembered how she had gone instead to his vain brother Daring. At this rate, she was going to end up a spinster.

"Ummm…Raven?"

Raven suddenly noticed Cerise standing nervously in front of her with her True Hearts Day bloom in her hands with a pensive expression on her face. She seemed to be hovering nervously and she was licking her lips.

"Hi Cerise! Hexcellent party, isn't it?" Raven asked brightly and she nodded at Cerise's True Hearts Day bloom. "Have you a special someone you want to give that to?"

"Well…yes," Cerise said and she pulled her hood further over her face as she began to blush. Raven laughed, but it had a bitter edge.

"Well I'm probably the last person you should ask for help," she said slightly bitterly. "I can't seem to even get the right boy."

"Raven, I…" Cerise stopped for a moment, smiled at her and gave her the heart bloom she was holding in her hands. "Raven, I want you to have this."

Raven stared in disbelief, not quiet sure what to say to her friend. Cerise on the other hand was blushing furiously. She gave Raven a quick kiss on the cheek and ran into the crowded dancing floor. Raven just stood on the spot in stunned silence, her thoughts a confused jumble.

"Don't be such a worry-flurry!" Maddie said as she grabbed Raven by the wrist. "Let's party!"

And as she danced, Raven allowed her mind to wander back to Cerise. It had been a good kiss, leaving a tingling feeling where it had been and there was a funny feeling in her stomach that she couldn't put her finger on. And so she danced and let her mind wander.
