POOL SHARK

He leaned forward, surveyed each of the smooth, rounded spheres, and admired the taut green baize that lay beneath while mentally mapping trajectories and paths. Glancing up and to the side, the brawny hunter let his right eyelid droop into a sly wink.
"Watch this," he mouthed.
He took another deep, lung-filling breath, held it for exactly five seconds, and let it out in a slow, soft beer-scented sigh. The typical bar noises surrounding him faded away. He let the cue fly.
Grinning, he straightened and shot his brother a triumphant look, pleased to see the same expression mirrored back.
