Little Big Love

Who would have ever thought that he would have had another love in his life?

Nobody. He wouldn't have, certainly.

After Rika, he couldn't believe that the word "Love" could have meant something different from what she had taught him, years before.

Instead, here she was. Beautiful. A breath-taking beauty. Ryo could spend hours watching her asleep without blinking an eye.

At least she did not complain about it. Rika felt disturbed every time he watched her as she slept.

And she was blond. Incredible, who would have ever thought. A blonde. How could have that happened? Which strange way had taken destiny to lead that beautiful blonde in his bed?

Maybe it was something too big for him to handle, at 24. Sometimes it even seemed too much. Knowing he had to protect that huge and pure feeling really distressed him. Knowing that she, now, was all his life really scared him to death.

But he couldn't help it: from the very first moment he had met her, she had become the centre of gravity. He had been swept off his feet and a shocking feeling overwhelmed him. He really couldn't explain it to himself. It had happened the same even with Rika, years ago, and he really believed it was impossible to feel the same feeling for someone else. Not after all he had been through in that last year: quarrels, sacrifices and broken hearts.

But now she was there, wrapped up in his white sheets. Her light breath could be heard through the eerie silence created by snow, which kept on falling outside the window. He felt strong: ready to protect his big love until the end of time.

In that moment, the door of his bedroom opened slightly.

Rika entered and looked at him, surprised. Her questioning gaze moved from the boy to the sleeping beauty in his bed.

"What are you doing here… with her?" Rika asked, whispering.

"2 metres of snow. Work's closed." Ryo smiled, guiltily.

"She shouldn't be sleeping in our bed. Then she doesn't want to come back to her cradle." Rika sighed, leaning closer to the little blond angel lost in their huge bed.

"I know, but we were playing together and then she fell asleep. Didn't want to wake her up." Pouted Ryo, caressing sweetly the blond hair of his sweet child.

"You're spoiling Rin too much." Rika reproached him, as she lightly left up their daughter of ten months. She didn't wake up: she was just like a little porcelain doll. Beautiful and perfect.

"Hey, Rika."

"What." She sighed, as she put Rin in her cradle, sweetly tucking her in.

"How come that our daughter is blond?" he asked, doubtfully.

"Ever seen the postman's hair?" she replied, smiling mischievously, before going to the living room.

Ryo became perplex for a moment, staring at his daughter and trying to think about the postman's hair.

"But if we live in an apartment building with outer post-boxes, how could have Rika met the…" then Ryo sighed annoyed, as he reached the living room. "Hey, stop fooling me!"

"She looks just like my mother, doesn't she?" Rika sighed, exasperated. She then took out some sonographies from her bag. "Maybe the next baby will look like you."

"WHO?" asked Ryo, shocked.

Just a little oneshot I originally wrote in Italian on another website. Wanted some family fluff for Ryo and Rika :3
