Reiji and Naoya have been in Shanghai for about 3 weeks.
Naoya POV
I woke up hearing the faint sound of running water. ' Aoe-san must be in the shower. ' I though barring my head in the pillows of our shared bed. Deciding that I should get up, I kicked off my blankets and sat up. Swinging my legs over the edge of the bed I started to make my way down the hall to the other bathroom. Splashing some cold water on my face I felt a bit more awake. Figuring Aoe-san would be out of the shower soon i headed to the kitchen. I made some breakfast for the two of us. After a few minutes I felt two strong arms wrap around my waist. " whats for breakfast? " a husky voice said in my ear. " Food! " I replied in a smart ass of a way. He chuckled and kissed my cheek before sitting down. Aoe-san had gotten much more lovey since we moved here but I'm not complaining. Sitting down myself we enjoyed our breakfast as we did everyday. After finishing up Aoe-san did the dishes while I cleared the table.
" You have to leave soon don't you? " I asked as he put on his suit vest. " yeah I'll be gone till late so don't wait for me. " he adjusted his tie. I frowned slightly 'he has been working alot lately and we get to spend much time together. ' i thought. " alright....I love you Aoe-san." I lightly kissed his lips. He returned my kiss and left the house. Sighing deeply I put on my own shoes after getting dressed deciding to get some shopping done.
I had gotten my things from a near by store and was on my way back home. Coming to a crossing light I waited patiently for it to allow me to go. Once it turned green I looked both ways before crossing the busy street. walking half way across suddenly a car continued to come toward me. In shock I stood there as if time had frozen still.........
3rd POV
Naoya was rushed to the hospital quickly after the accident. The police contacted Reiji Aoe he too rushed to his lovers side at the hospital but was unable to see him for he was in the trauma room. Reiji waited impatiently pacing back and forth waiting for any news of Naoya's condition. After 3 hours a male doctor came out into the room he was waiting in. " Are you Aoe Reiji? " the man asked. " yes!! " he replied almost in a panic. " Naoya-kun is in a stable condition but because of so much head trauma from the accident we had to put him under a temporary sleep. He should wake up within 24 hours. " He relayed the news. Reiji sighed in some slight relief. " can I see him? " he asked desperately. " Of course. "
The two men headed back into a small room were Naoya was hooked up to many tubes and wires. Reiji felt a tear slid down his face at the sight of his love in such a state. After the doctor left Aoe sat in a chair close to the boy holding his hand tightly. " I can't lose....another person I care for....." he kissed the back of the blonde's hand. ' I wish i would have told him " I love you too " this morning ' he thought.
