~Kurt's P.O.V~
"Do you, Brittany S. Pierce, take Kurt as your lawfully wedded husband, to love, to honor and to cherish?"
"... I do." she said softly face still showing her shock. Her eyes were pooling with tears but trust me it wasn't from joy.
"Do you, Kurt Hummel, take Brittany as your lawfully wedded wife, to love, to honor and to cherish?"
"I... I..." I hesitated. I can't do this. "I don't." The guests gasped and immediately whispers filled the room. Our parents looked furious of course. Brittany smiled through the tears and mouthed a small 'Thank You' to me for being the one to be brave and defy our parents. I hugged her and promised to call her later and jogged out of the chapel with everyone's eyes following me. When finally outside I walked away in the cool air, sat on the steps and took a deep breathe. I did it. I stood up against my old-fashioned, power crazy parents, disowning myself in the process, but hey, it was worth it. What our parents wanted just wasn't right.
"Kurt!" my father yelled coming out of the chapel, face red and eyes searching for me. I quickly run around the building. I need to get away. From him, this, everything. But, since my parents drove me here I didn't have my car. Frantically I search for an escape and see a guy walking out of a coffee shop wearing a bow tie. This will have to do.
As he unlocks his car and gets in I run over and jump into the passenger seat.
"Please no! Don't kill me I-!" he screamed trying to block himself and spilling his coffee in the process.
"Hey! I'm not trying to hurt you I just... need some help." I explain keeping my distance. He eyes me suspiciously while wiping the coffee off his shirt."
"I'm Kurt. I was supposed to be getting married today but-"
"Kurt!" I hear my dad yell as he begins storming up to the car.
"Go go please go!" I scream panicking. The guy starts the car and drives off leaving my fuming dad further and further in the distance. As our distance increased, so did my calm. After about 10 minutes I realized I was in a strangers car.
"Geez I'm sorry about all that." I sigh probably way later than I should have in this situation.
"It's fine I guess. Gotta do what you gotta do. But I do want to hear an explanation." the mystery man smirks at me.
"It's a long story." I shrug. He gives me a look.
"I have time. And I'm guessing so do you. I'm Blaine by the way. Blaine Anderson." he says giving me a dazzling smile. Good lord he is handsome. Well, that's a polite way to put it. Blaine has dark brown hair and the most gorgeous hazel eyes I have ever seen. And how many men can rock a bow tie look so casually and yet still look so ridiculously incredible?!
"My parents were attempting to force me to marry."
"And she was so hideous you bolted?" he chuckled looking quite amused.
"Hah. No. Here's a picture of her." I say pulling out my phone and showing him a picture of me and Brittany at a café. He looks surprised.
"She's definitely not hideous." Sigh. Might as well drop the bomb now. I prepare for the worse.
"Doesn't really matter. I'm gay so um yeah." I say as 'casually' as I can and look out the window. It's silent for what feels like hours.
"Oh." Blaine grunts face unreadable. Well looks like I just screwed this up. Good job Kurt.
"I'm sorry if you're uncomfortable now. If you want me to leave I totally understand-"
"No no no! It's not that." he smiles embarrassedly, "I'm gay too."
"Oh."
Suddenly the car feels a lot warmer than it did before.
