Author's Note: Short and to the point-ish. I might redo it sometime later if I feel inclined to, but I just wanted a little more Meeks fiction in the world :)
Disclaimer: I don't own Dead Poets Society
I Can't Make You Love Me…
Stephen Meeks does everything he can to earn Charlie Dalton's love. Even though his efforts have proved fruitless so far, Stephen knows there has to be a way to Charlie's heart. And Meeks is a genius, so he can't be wrong. Right?
As of yet, it doesn't matter how many times he's tutored Charlie in Latin, or closed the door when asked, or opened the door when not asked, or placed his jacket down so something can be set upon it. Charlie hardly blinks an eye. And it hurts. Physically hurts to be ignored when there isn't a particular and precise use for him, or his talent, or something of his.
But Stephen puts up with it, because otherwise Charlie would be in his life much less, and he wouldn't be able to deal with that either.
Author's Note: The end.
