It is the night of carnival, Ezio and his family were roaming the streets of Venice. "Stop talking about your imaginary friend." His father spoke.
"But..."
"Pertucio!" his father's voice rose.
Ezio's younger brother looked down and sulked. He had to admit, that was harsh. He was only seven… Pertucio frowned at his father and ran into the crowd witch only pissed off his father more.
"Ezio! Go get him!" he growled. Ezio chased his little brother without complaining, he didn't want to be trapped in the house on the best night of the year. He saw his little brother walking to an alleyway wile wavering, as if he knew someone who was down there… Ezio quickly made his way over and peeked into the ally hoping to not be seen.
"Where have you been?" he heard a gruff voice say though he couldn't really see the figure well.
"Father got angry when I said I wanted to meet you…" Pertucio said quietly. "He thinks you are fake."
There was a silent moment. At this time Ezio leaned to try and see the figure without being but the figures head snapped up quickly as he did so. The figure pulled Pertucio behind him quickly as if to protect him.
"Alex, it's just my brother." Pertucio smiled.
"Ezio or Federico?" He said as Ezio walked down the alley to meet them.
"Pertucio, how much dose h know?" he said as he stared up at the other. "What did dad say about talking to strangers?"
"But his my friend." Pertucio smiled up at Alex who looked back down at him. He had never been called a friend, or a he…
"Pertucio, dad wants you back." Ezio said reaching for his arm.
"But I haven't seen him in ages!" he wined.
Before Ezio could grab his arm Alex grabbed him tightly around the wrist.
"I wouldn't!" Alex growled though his teeth.
Ezio didn't know what to do, this man didn't seem the kind to push around. Ezio pulled his hand away and frowned at him as the others eyes begin to glow a bright red.
"What are you?" he asked and the other smiled, but didn't answer his question.
Pertucio tugged on Alex's jacket sleeve and he immediately turned to him, his eyes going back to his captivating baby blues.
Pertucio whispered in his ear and Alex nodded making Ezio frown.
"Bye Alex." Pertucio smiled as Alex begin walking the other way. Ezio grabbed his arm and started to walk back home.
"Don't tell father." Pertucio pleaded.
"I think he should know." Ezio said not even looking down at him, the man's eyes were glowing! Is it even possible!?
"Please!?" Pertucio sulked. Ezio let out a sigh.
"Only if you tell me who you meet him."
Pertucio smiled up at him.
"I fell out my window and he caught…"
"Fell out your window!?" Ezio yelled as he interrupted. "How did you manage that!?"
"There was a feather." He said looking down slightly. His brother was so innocent, how could someone so innocent have a friend so aggressive?
Ezio let out a sigh.
"your secrets safe with me."
