The woman had long red hair, which went to the middle of her back. She had deep brown eyes and was only 19 years old, but yet was trying out for the new Potions teacher at Hogwarts. She wore a crooked black witches hat and walked to the front of the room and took a seat. Professor Dumbledore, someone she was VERY familiar with, stood at the front. He smiled as he saw her and winked and then turned to the whole group of wannabe Potions teachers.
"Hello, there. We are running these like auditions for a muggle play. You see, I will ask you to brew four different potions of my choice; each one of you will have different kinds of potions for you to brew. You will have exactly five minutes for all of them, and all of the ingredients are here all you need to do is use the right ones, at the right times, and make sure that the potion is effective." Dumbledore said in his friendly, and yet calm voice.
The woman smiled as the first person was called. This woman would be going last. Many people went through, and even though everyone was getting different potions to make, the woman made sure that she went through all the ingredients in her head. The Love Draft is only powerful and lasts forever if you remember to add the extra garlic at the end before the final stir and spell casting. The Morgana Poison only kills if the meat of pig is heavily salted before hand. Otherwise, it will only poison the person temporarily. The woman went over the many ingredients in her head quickly as she made sure she had read about almost every potion, in her studying books, which she had needed to read. This woman had great confidence and she knew that no matter what, she would eventually find a job that could support her.
In about no time, the woman heard her name being called. The rest of the people stared at her as she walked up gracefully to the cauldron. She stepped in front of it and turned to Dumbledore, smiling at him-thanking him with her eyes for having her here. He adjusted his half-moon spectacles slowly, pushing them further up the bridge of his nose and then turning briskly to his book of potions. The woman sighed and listened for the first potion.
"-The Ruby Rawrer." Dumbledore said finally. The woman nodded and turned to her cauldron. She picked up the normal bottle of water and poured it into a small measuring cup. She poured the correct amount of water from the measuring cup into the cauldron and turned on the boilers built into the table in which the cauldron was on. She waited for the water to boil, adding magic spells for it to quicken, and then finally added the four sprinkles of pepper, which seasoned it.
She added the four pairs of cat eyelids and then started to peel the Danish radish babies. The babies cried loudly, but the woman shut them up when doing a silence spell, which minimized their voices. She added the peelings to the cauldron and then cracked four red rooster eggs and added the yokes and the shells to the mix of it all. She stirred the batter quickly and wildly and added some fairy dust sprinklings. Finally, she murmured: "Quicken, boil, and avoid my toil." She poured a portion of the cauldron into a small cup and offered it to Professor Dumbledore. He tasted it and smiled. The tip of his nose turned ruby red. The woman giggled and Dumbledore gave her fullmarks.
They continued on across Dumbledore's list until finally he looked up in surprise at the woman and grinned broadly. "Take no offense, but I think we have found our new Potions teacher…Of course, just as long Professor Ginny Weasley doesn't mind?"
