The Past
Mandra sat in her cell. the only light that the room had was a seal on the ceiling that glowed slightly. her cell was more like a room, the walls were metal and at least five inches thick. on one wall was a door that was locked from the out side. a bed roll sat in the far corner of the room it was old and worn it hadn't been replaced since mandra's father had locked her in the room. the door creaked and mandra looked at it eagerly. a boy only a couple years older then her entered the room. he had white hair that was pulled into a ponytail he pushed his glasses up on his face and smiled. mandra got up and smiled.
"kabuto-sama" she said hugging him. "my dad is he still mad at me please tell me he's ready to let me out," kabuto frowned.
"lord orochimaru will never let you go," he said. the words weighed on mandra's heart. "he has replaced you with a young uchiha boy about your age."
mandra growled the thought of her father replacing her made her blood boil. she looked up at kabuto he was her friend he had came and visited her every chance he got. only he cared about her and she knew it.
"kabuto I will kill this uchiha, how dare he steal my father." kabuto smiled at this.
"his name is sasuke uchiha."
The Present
the door to mandra's cell swung open. mandra had been laying on her side in the corner of the room her bed roll was long since destroyed she had used it to make new cloths for herself. she looked up at the door to watch kabuto walk into the room. she smiled weakly as she tried to sit up she didn't remember the last time she moved from that spot.
"can I come out now," she said kabuto didn't anser but walked next to her he looked down at her. "kabuto im hungry," she said looking up at him he reached down towards her. "please," she said before blacking out.
when mandra woke she felt as though she had been sleeping on a cloud. the room she was in was dimly lit and defiatly not her cell. she was laying in an actual bed with silk sheets. she knew this room from somewhere but couldn't place where. mandra slowly sat up on the wall behind me was a scroll. there were also two torches lit in the room. the bed was on a raised section in the room. on a stool next to the bed kabuto sat sleeping.
"kabuto," she said reaching out for him.
his eyes opened as he grabbed her wrist. before she realized it mandra reacted she was out of the bed lifting kabuto by the throat. his hand still on the wrist that she was using to hold him in the air. kabuto looked at her and smirked.
"it worked," he said as mandra let go. "I saved your life."
mandra looked at her hand in shock how had she done that. as long as she could remember she had been frail and weak barley able to sit up let alone pick up kabuto with one hand.
"what did you do kabuto," she demanded.
"I made you stronger, healed you." he replied
"why," she asked trying to think.
"I just lost your father I couldn't lose you as well."
mandra sat on the edge of the bed. orochimaru was dead the words started to sink in. kabuto reached out to her placing his hand on her shoulder, but she shrugged it off. a smile started to spread across mandras face a twisted snakelike smile that kabuto had only seen on orochimaru.
"kabuto I am free because of you so stay by my side, the sound is now mine and any who says otherwise will beg for death," mandra smiled looking around the room, her eyes seemed to glow yellow in the torchlight.
