Moving Heaven, Raising Hell
A.N. Just a little one-shot depicting Sebastian, and a little poetic for my normal taste, but I'm in a funky mood, so what the hell? Anyways, here goes nothing!
His father believed in God.
Or, the will of God.
But he can't possibly believe that
somewhere above, there is someone looking out for him.
Deep down, he feels the black poison, knows its there.
And what kind of God would want to save him?
So he doesn't bother with praying.
He knows it won't save him.
They say that somewhere far above,
there is a place called Heaven.
A city for angels, full of blinding light and fire.
A city that will last an eternity and more.
He knows he will never see it.
Even his name depicts demonic nature.
Morgenstern. Morning Star.
Lucifer.
The one who fell from Heaven,
after trying to move it against God,
and became Satan.
And so he resolved not to move Heaven.
He would not become Lucifer.
He was better than a fallen angel.
Instead, he would do what he did best:
War.
Bloodshed.
Destruction.
Death.
He would burn the world down,
until nothing but a pile of back ashes was left,
and everything and everyone would burn with it.
He would raise Hell,
In the most literal sense.
Erochmai.
They couldn't say he hadn't warned them.
Good? I don't know. Like I said, it's a little poetic, not exactly my comfort zone, but I just reread CoLS, and I couldn't get that quote out of my head. So I just wrote a freaking four stanza poem, of my own free will, for the first time in my life. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. Anyways, just to let you know, there's a few sneak peeks of City of Heavenly Fire (which I'm practically dying to be released!) out on the web, and if you love this series as much as I do, you should probably check it out. Try not to pee your pants of excitement. Please review, constructive criticism is ALWAYS appreciated! Thanks so much for reading!
