Hi guys! Sorry I haven't posted anything in a loooong time! Well, here's some more Clintasha! I don't own the Avengers.

Tony's private jet was a thing of beauty. It was white and unremarkable on the outside, so covert missions were easy, but on the inside it was something different altogether. It was lined with plush black carpeting, and had about fifteen seats which easily seated the six Avengers plus a backup team.

That day, the said six individuals plus Jane and Pepper entered the plane one by one, not for a mission but for a team vacation to the Caribbean (brainchild of none other than Tony Stark). As they rolled their suitcases through the cabin door, they chattered ecstatically about the prospect of their first outing as a team.

Well, all except the two assassins. Natasha remained her poised, steely self, greeting JARVIS politely at the door. Clint...well Clint had been fiddling nervously with something in his jacket pocket the whole time...

Halfway through the flight, Clint stood up from his seat. He cast an uncertain glance at Tony, Bruce, Thor and Steve. Steve and Bruce gave him a thumbs-up, Tony nodded vigorously and Thor yelled "Go! Perform the act of-" before being elbowed in the rib by Steve.

Natasha cast a sideway glance at Clint. The boys were obviously up to something again.

Clint slowly produced a small box from his pocket, and knelt down in front of Natasha's seat. A look of total shock swept her face.

Suddenly, the speech he'd memorised was wiped clean from his memory. He felt a hot sensation prickle up his neck.

"Natasha Romanov, I, Clint Barton, would like to ask if you would spend the rest of your life with me," he smiled nervously. He fumbled to get the ring box open. "Please?" he added.

Natasha was silent for a moment. Her eyes went from Clint, to the ring in his hands, then back to him. Then she finally said, "Look...I don't know..."

"Natasha, please. I've been waiting all my life for this! Look, you've always told me that love..." his words choked up in his throat so he repeated himself, "that love is for children, but there's nothing wrong with being a child again, is there? If you're scared that this won't last, I'll tell you that I will never leave you. If you're afraid that this is gonna be complicated, well it doesn't have to be. Natasha, please..."

The flow of words was stopped short by hot tears He got up and stood there in stunned silence.

Then without warning, Natasha swung her fist into his jaw. He clutched his jaw and stumbled back, a mixture of hurt and pain and other unexplainable things. He stared at her, a lone tear trailing down his cheek.

Natasha then flung her arms around him. Their lips locked, and the ring box slipped from his fingers. This, this was what Clint missed. The sparkling hot air, and her slender self intertwined with his. Heaven lasted half a minute more, then she pulled herself away.

"You dumbass," she grinned fiendishly. "I didn't even say no!"
