This is my first story, it's a work in progress. Since I started watching supernatural I gained myself a huge addiction to the damned show and I began thinking about how the show could possibly be different. Then my character Alex popped into my mind and well in this story she's forced into Sam and Deans life. So it's just a story of how it would be if the Winchesters had a bit of a little sister figure in their very interesting life.

Sam's POV
I didn't know where I was but that was because I'd never been here before. It was someone's house but so far I couldn't tell whose. I was on the top floor standing in the empty hallway that had a few pictures on the walls but they were blurred. I walked further down the hall to the room with the slightly opened door. I pushed it further open to reveal a girls room. The walls were a mix of darker and lighter blues, it was a relaxing mix. They were covered in posters, mostly bands but I didn't know what kind. It was somewhat clean, t-shirts and jeans sprawled out over the bed and chairs in the room, while books were stacked on the study table; some school ones but most of them were just normal reading books or mythology books. I picked up one of the mythology ones "the story behind Hades." I smiled setting it back down, slightly surprised that it wasn't Hercules, and happy on the other hand that she actually wanted to know about the other side. Turning around to examine more of the room I froze in my tracks to hear a loud crash coming from downstairs followed by bloodcurdling screams. I instantly bolted out the room and down the stairs to what I guessed was the living room; what made it hard to tell was the fact that it was colored with blood and bodies. I stepped back in shock as my hand grabbed the blood-splattered wall. The screaming had stopped but it was replaced with pleading and sobbing. I turned to see a young girl standing against the wall; she couldn't be any more than 17 and there were tears streaming down her face and blood covering her shirt. She begged the man to stop as he held the last living person in his hands. The boy he was holding looked about her age and he was gripping the guy's jacket as he held him up by his hair, "its okay Alex. It's okay, just don't look. Please just don't look." He begged as the man gripped his neck twisting it so hard his head came flying off. She screamed so loudly that I had to grip the sides of my head.
I woke up in a cold sweat gripping the crappy motel room sheets underneath me, trying to find some air to fill my lungs.
"Sam? Sam you okay?" Dean asked swinging his legs over the side of his bed so he was facing me, "What's wrong? What'd you see?" I was still gasping for air, pulling at my hair as I stared at the covers on my lap. My head was pounding and I could hear Dean questioning me as he moved to sit on my bed, trying to get my attention but I pushed his arms off my shoulders. "Stop Dean, just...wait." was all I could tell him to get him to stop grabbing me. He backed off and just sat there watching me, trying to figure out what I was thinking about even though I still didn't know what I had just seen. "I just saw a girl watch her family die. She watched them being murdered in-front of her. Dean, we have to find her." I answered finally looking up at him to see him tense at my words. "We can't let it happen. God it was terrible. We have to find her." I rambled on as I got up off the bed, quickly grabbing my shirts, rolling them up so I could throw them into my worn out duffle bag. "Sam, Sammy relax." Dean called, as he grabbed my shoulder, turning me around so I could face him, "take it easy, alright? It's okay."
"No it's not Dean!" I snapped shoving him away again. I relaxed when he looked at me in surprise, startled that I was this jumpy. "It's just...you didn't see it Dean. It was worse than anything we've ever seen. You can't even imagine. She was just a kid and she had to watch all of it. I just..."
"Yeah alright. We'll look for her okay?" He reassured with a soft voice, "Just, does this have anything to do with the fact that you made us stop in this town?" He questioned making me stop moving again. I stared at the bland wall in front of me that had a slanted picture of a flower hanging lazily off of it, and thought about it for a second. I remembered telling Dean that we had to come here but I never gave him a reason for it no matter how many times he asked, "I think so, and I'm not sure." I answered honestly and he sighed, shaking his head before beginning to pack his stuff away too.
After checking out of the motel, we spent the next hour driving around town with literally no idea of where to start looking. I suggested looking for the house but Dean shook his head telling me we'd never find it because there were too many houses here. I groaned in frustration before remembering the books, "let's check the library."
"What, why? She some kind of book worm?" He asked with a small smile, obviously trying to lighten up the situation but I didn't take, "Something like that." I answered bluntly. I wasn't exactly in the mood because of how close we were to the time it happened. The clock in my dream had read 8:40 and it was 7:10 at the moment. I was terrified that if we didn't find her...
Dean parked the impala in-front of the library and turned to look at me as I hesitantly stepped out, shutting the car door behind me as I examined the fairly new building. It had a few cars in its parking lot but most people were probably at home or out at the cottage since it was the Friday before the long-weekend. I was surprised it was even open. I began walking towards the building, with Dean following not far behind me, I was about to grab the handle of the door when somebody else pushed it from the inside, swinging it right into me making me fall back a few steps. "Holy shit, I'm so sorry dude." A girl spoke and I cursed under my breath as I could hear Dean chuckling. "You okay gigantor?" She teased, gently putting her hand on my arm and I forced a smile as I nodded my head. As soon as my gaze met her face, I sucked in a sharp breath as I recognized the brown haired girl. Dean was still chuckling because of her comment before but when he noticed me stiffen he stopped, realizing what I had just realized. She also noticed me stiffen and quickly moved her hand away, probably thinking my reaction was to her touch. "You okay dude? You look like you've seen a ghost." She giggled as her fingers wrapped around the binding of the book, "did I hit you that hard? Sorry about that." She continued and I finally snapped out of my gaze, "Yeah, yeah I'm okay. Sorry just kind of dazed out."
"If I didn't know better I'd say you were stoned." She joked again, this time managing to get a chuckle out of me as I shook my head. "Well I've got to get going, I just got yelled at by my mom cause my family's wondering where I am. Gotta go be a good hostess right?" She explained as she shook her head to herself with a deep sigh, "well maybe I'll see you two around." She smiled with a wave and I could feel my heart starting to beat quickly. I looked at Dean and he understood that we couldn't let her leave yet. "Hey hold up." He called after her and she spun around on her heel, tilting her head questioningly, "Could we maybe get a name."
"I'm a little too young for you Ken doll." She winked with a laugh and he shrugged with a smirk, "Names Alex" She introduced and Dean answered as he always does, "Dean and this is my little brother Sam."
"Little?" She laughed and we both chuckled while nodding our heads. Her laugh was so contagious and her smile was one of the brightest things I'd ever seen. We couldn't let this happen to her. We wouldn't. "Well Dean and Sam, I really wish I could stay longer but Mama will have my head on a plate if I don't get home. I wasn't supposed to be here anyways but I had to make a run for a book so I snuck away while my cousins distracted her."
"So this was a team effort."
"You didn't hear it from me. All that you know am I got here on my own." She joked and Dean raised his hands in defeat making her laugh again, "nice car by the way." She commented as she grabbed one of the bikes off the rack, shoving the book in her bag. We looked at her in surprise, "the Chevy, that's yours right?" We both nodded and she smiled gazing at the car, "classy and very nice. Good choice." She answered as she pushed off the sidewalk swerving around us as she took a seat on the bike, "I've never seen her in this town, and I've never seen you two here either. My mom's the sheriff so I know everyone here, put two and two together sweethearts that's how I know she's yours." She answered the unasked question and I could feel the heat rise up to my cheeks because of embarrassment. "So how come you ain't driving? The car would make too much noise; didn't wanna get noticed?" dean asked, still trying to keep her from leaving. She groaned, gripping the handles of her bike, "no I'm not old enough to drive, still have to wait a few months just to get my G1."
"You're 15?" She nodded and my eyes widened, "I thought you were like 17."
"Thank you but sadly not yet." I stared at her in shock as my heart began to pound again. The silence between us was filled by the familiar noise of Deep purples "Smoke on the water". Dean's fists relaxed as he reached for his phone only to see that it wasn't the one ringing. She pulled her cellphone out of her front pocket answering in what I guessed was polish. Once again she smiled and waved goodbye to us, but this time we didn't have anything to tell her to get her to stay, her mom sounded pretty angry over the phone so we were forced to stand here and watch her ride off. Once she was out of sight we both bolted to the car and Dean instantly backed out, trying to find a way to follow her without being seen. Luckily she didn't take the trail through the park but managed to bike mostly on the main-ish roads. We kept a fair distance away until she stopped at one of the houses, she turned so quickly into the driveway that Dean had to slam the brakes so that she wouldn't see us. We both let put the breaths we'd been holding in as she started to open the garage door placing her bike against the wall beside some other bikes and random boxes. I shut my eyes for a few seconds, letting myself relax knowing that we found her house. But the second I opened my eyes, they darted down to the dimly lit clock that read 8:23. Without taking a second to think about what I was doing I swung the door open and jumped out, almost face planting into the gravel as I tripped over my own two feet. "Sam! What the hell are you doing!" dean called from inside the car and I ignored him as I pushed myself off the ground heading to the house. He caught up to me when I reached the bottom of the driveway which had about 3 cars parked in it, a blue Chevy beside a black Toyota with a white camry behind the first one.
"Sam what the hell are you doing? You can't just walk up to her house after we followed her here!" He whisper-shouted at me, making me glare at him angrily.
"Dudes not cool." Was all we heard before she nailed Dean in the face with the back of her bat, it wasn't enough to knock him out but it was enough for him to lose balance and end up lying on his back in the gravel, clutching his face. She turned to me gripping the bat but I raise my hands in defense,
"Alex listen to us, we're here to help you."
"So that's why you followed me home? Bullshit." She growled taking a step forward making me step back. Dean was still lying on the ground cursing as blood flowed from his nose onto the pavement beneath him. "Alex please just hear me out-"
"No. I will not hear you out. I was nice to you, and I'm usually not that nice to people to be honest, so you two are lucky I didn't get my mom out here. So I'm giving you a chance right now. You're going to pick Ken doll up off my driveway and walk over to your car and drive off. Then you're going to get back home and think about whatever the hell you were planning to do here. Then you are going to be grateful at the fact that you made a good impression on me and I let you two leave instead of getting you arrested. You hear me?"
"Alex-"
"Do you hear me?!"
"Yeah okay, I hear you."
"Great, now fuck off." She hissed keeping her grip tight around the bat. I picked Dean up off the ground and we backed up, slowly heading back to the car. Somebody called her from the front door so she headed inside after shooting us another anger filled look, but the look was replaced with disappointment as soon as she thought she was out of our view.
"You okay?" I asked as I turned my attention back to Dean as he used his shirt to wipe the blood off his face. "Yeah. Goddamn that kids got a good grip. Geez, how come she went for me first?" He asked and I sighed ignoring the question as I glanced over his shoulder back at the house. He leaned back on the hood of the impala pinching the bridge of his nose, the blood had stopped, but it was just precaution. I leaned in through the window grabbing some napkins from the backseat, handing them to him.
We stood out there for about ten more minutes, surprised that she didn't even check out the window to see if we were still here. Actually I found it extremely worrying that she hadn't so much as glanced outside, I turned to Dean who still looked pissed because of the blood from his nose getting onto his new t-shirt. Ignoring the words he mumbled under his breath my eye caught the clock over the radio and how it had started blinking unusually; the time had read 8:39 and my blood ran cold. I turned back towards the house, even taking a few steps towards it, stressing my hearing so I could pick up anything coming from the house, but all I got was silence. I sighed a breath of relief before turning back towards Dean. His head shot up when he heard the blood-curdling scream coming from inside the house. "No. NO!" I shouted as I made a run for the front door. It was obviously locked so instead of waiting for Dean I took a step back before kicking right beside the lock, letting the door swing open crashing loudly into the wall beside it. "Alex!" I yelled as I ran towards the living room, following the screams.
It was already too late; we got there just in time for the man to be holding the other kids head in his hands. He threw the head to the side before stepping over the body with a smile as his eyes landed on me, "Hey there Sammy. Nice of you to join us."
I stared at him in confusion but the anger inside me boiled because of his smile. I was about to run at him but Dean had pulled me out of the way as he took a shot with the shotgun in his hand. The guy looked down at where the round hit him and frowned before bringing his eyes back to Alex, "I guess that concludes our little party Alex." He grinned making her scream again; not out of fear but out of anger. The man backed up until he was against the wall where he burst into flames. Alex finally dropped from the wall, down onto her knees, sobbing as she stared into the gruesome picture in front of her. The heat from the flames or us screaming her name didn't do anything to faze her, she didn't even react to me grabbing her by her waist, picking her up off the floor. I could feel her gripping the back of my sweater as I ran out the door with her slung over my shoulder. I set Alex down in the backseat but froze for a second as she stared up at me with tears streaming down her face.
"Sam!" Dean yelled as he started the car. I looked away from her pleading eyes before shutting the door and opening the one to my side in the front. As soon as my butt touched the seat, Dean backed out as fast as humanly possible, not even giving me a chance to close my door properly. We all stared at the house as it was soon engulfed in flames that were a variety of reds yellows and oranges; if we hadn't seen what happened inside, you could even say the flames looked beautiful. They danced across the roof and out the windows as we sped down the road; leaving Alex's home in our dust. I looked at her through the rear-view mirror; she was trembling as tears rolled down her face and her knees were pressed up against her chest,
"No, no, no, no." She sobbed before hiding her face, as her head shook reluctantly. I glanced at Dean who was staring at the road in front of us, going about 50mph over the speed limit, making sure to keep off main roads before turning onto a lonely road that had trees and shrubs on each side. I brought my gaze down to my lap before bringing my hands up to my face, "How could we let this happen..."
