Another dark poem. In this Starfire watches in horror as Robin ( as Slade's apprentice) prepares to kill her. And, I'm doing this in Starfire's words. Dedicated to Roguey Maximoff, Raven A. Star, and as usual anyone else who likes a dark poem.

Looking at your dark, cool gaze.

I see that you have lost your way.

Your trademark mask has been removed.

I do not know what I can do.

Bitter tears fall down my cheeks.

As the love that I truely seek...

Is crushed beneath your polished boot.

As the insignia on your suit...

Informs me that I am too late.

And that I must accept my fate..

Pulling out your thermal gun.

I see that Slade has truly won.

And as your smile becomes a feral grin.

I know that I will never win...

Back the heart he has stolen from me.

I wish I had not been blind to see..

That you are now finally Slade's.

And that it is I that shall die this day.
