Red growled as she looked at the woman ahead of her, her ears pinned back against her head and her golden eyes staring up at the fair woman. Her lips pulled back, exposing sharp teeth that could tear skin without a second thought. Something, though, made the wolf pause and suddenly she froze, whining softly as she took a step back. She put her face down against the ground and rubbed it against the soft grass as she tried to clear the confusion out of her head. She had the sudden need to protect the woman standing before her, not kill her like she usually felt the need to do. She felt something drawing closer to where her head was against the ground and her head snapped up in time to see a pale limb drawing back quickly. She whined slightly and bit out slightly, only grabbing the sleeve of the woman's dress.
Ruby sat up in a cold sweat, her hands gripping the red bed sheets underneath her prone body, the comforter tangled around her long legs. Oh gods. Not that dream again. She shook her head, closing her eyes for a brief moment before she opened them again. The usual milk chocolate brown eyes had a mixture of honey gold around the iris, which slowly faded away completely back to the brown.
"What's going on with me?" She asked herself, shaking her head. Every night she had the same dream, the same woman, and she was always a wolf. But she never saw the woman's face, though her scent seemed oh so familiar, yet so distant at the same time. She whined again, the sound different coming out of her human throat, before she rolled out of the bed, bed sheets falling half way to the ground and staying there. She groaned as she made her way over to her bathroom, stripping the entire way. She left a trail of clothes on the floor behind her, underwear the last to come off right outside of the tub.
