Title: Grey Sunrise
19th July 07 (drabble 114 words. a sudden very small but hungry plot bunny)
DF does not own Cowboy Bebop, nor does she own the quote at the end. They belong to Sunrise & Claudia Ghandi respectivly.
Grey Sunrise
She sits in the silent hospital room, watching the glowing lights of the new sunrise shine through the window. It is something she has not seen in years, ever since the spores took her eyes. She has her sight again, but though she longed for the sunrise and beauty of her planet in the months of darkness, the only one she wants to see now can never be seen again.
He is buried below the ground, and her eyes -still dark then- did not see him fall. She clasps the bouquet his green-haired friend brought her, and closes her pointless eyes to block out the bright petals that so contradict the loss she feels inside.
"If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk forever in my garden."
Viewpoint of Stella Bonnaro, Roco's sister. Set at the end of Episode 8, Waltz For Venus.
Much gratitude to Sunfreak's Three Bouquets that reminded me that this quote existed, though its a completly different fandom.
