Heaven's gate
I could see you now, standing at heaven's gate
Your eyes in amazement as to what would be your fate
St. Peter looks to you as his eyes come from his book
Looking you deep in your eyes with a quizitive look.
"Mr. Guerrero, I shocked to see you here. Is this so?"
You give him a shrug and say. "I guess it was my time to go"
St. Peter nodded to you as he looked up your name
You looked about wondering how this is going to change.
You were able to look down at the world
Seeing everything from above
Tears came from your eyes
All you could think of was wondering why
St. Peter paused as he looked to you.
He saw your tears and wondered what he could do.
"Eddie if I may, why are you so sad?"
You gave him a look, wondering why he would ask.
"My family is down there, my friends too!
I have left them behind. Is that not obvious to you?"
Peter gave a nod, now seeing what was wrong.
He helped you up and gave you a nod.
"I know they are important to you all families are
But know this now. You will never be far
You can see them everywhere at any time
Your friends and family I'm sure will be fine"
I could see you still shed tears
You cleared them away and tried to smile from ear to ear.
"I will watch them grow up, and be sure they are well.
My friends know I am with them, with every show they sell
Tell me homes, is it great up here?"
Peter smiled as he patted your shoulder.
"Come I shall show you where you go when life is over"
St. Peter looks for the key as he brings you to the gate.
You grin as you pull the key from your pocket, explaining. "Old habits are hard to break"
With the key in hand, Peter rolls his eyes.
"I should have seen it coming, knowing you guys"
With great care you were able to open the way.
Eddie Guerrero now preformed on a much bigger stage.
I write this in your memory Mr. Guerrero.
You memory will never leave our thoughts.
You have given us everything and then some before.
Yet we would give it all back, just to see you once more
