This is a sad poem
of a love so torn,
always in danger.
She would mourn,
'cause he was gone.
He had left her,
if only to save her.
He though too much,
and called himself a monster.
Though she disagreed,
he thought it was best.
She weeps in the forest,
after the sad farewell.
She didn't like it,
but she could do nothing.
She cried her heart out,
hoping it was a dream.
When she didn't wake up,
She cried more.
She was distraught.
She was lifeless,
when he wasn't here.
Though she tried,
she couldn't forget.
All he had said,
all he had done.
He had broken her walls,
they had crumbled to dust.
They'd fallen for the other.
With much trust in each other,
their love blossomed.
For months she'd wept,
for all she had lost.
To get it back,
she'd give anything.
She gave it a try,
to find her love.
She found him in Italy,
under the clock tower.
She saved him,
from the Guard.
She kept him alive,
and took him home.
He said he was sorry.
He said his lies,
were the blackest of all.
He hated himself,
for hurting his angel.
She lay in his arm,
he was soon forgiven.
They pledged their love,
and made a deal.
He promised he would never leave,
that hurt too much.
They lay together,
Till the mornings dawn.
They married in August,
all Alice's planning.
And they lay together,
on the dawn of forever.
