Legs
Summery; The first time Estel meets Legolas
It was a sunny day in Rivendell and Estel and his twin foster brothers Elladan and Elrohir were playing catch in the garden with a soft ball. Estel had been a bit disappointed that his ada Lord Elrond couldn't play with them, because he had too much work to do.
Elladan and Elrohir had told him earlier about a special vaster that was going to come later in the afternoon called Prince Legolas of Mirkwood.
(Flashback)
It was around ten o'clock in the morning and a three year old Estel was sitting on his bed in his bed room staring at his twin brothers.
"Estel today a very special visitor will be coming this afternoon. His name is Legolas and he is a friend of ours and would like to meet you." Elladan told Estel carefully not wanting him to get confused.
"Why does he want to meet me?" Estel said a little scared. Estel had always been scared of meeting new people.
"Legolas wants to meet you because he wants to be your friend too. Elrohir said wanting Estel to know that Legolas is a nice person.
"Ok, Can we play now?" Estel said sliding of the bed and tottering over to the twins.
(End Flashback)
Elladan had just caught the ball when he heard horse's hoofs. He looked at Elrohir who nodded.
Elladan put the ball on the grass and walked over to Estel who was currently sitting on the grass playing with his teddy bear and sat next to him on one side with Elrohir on the other.
"Estel, come with me and Elrohir to meet Legolas." Elladan said gently.
Estel looked up from playing with his teddy and gave a nod.
Elrohir nodded and scooped Estel up and walked over to the courtyard with Elladan following.
When they reached the courtyard Elrohir put Estel down but still held onto his had and Estel looked around curiously.
A few minutes later Legolas rode in on his magnificent brown horse.
Legolas dismounted and walk over to the twins first and greeted them. And then bent down so he was eye level with Estel and said "Hello, you must be Estel. I'm Legolas and who is this" pointing at the teddy bear being held by his ear.
"Bear" Estel said holding him out for Legolas to take.
Legolas took bear and shook his hand witch made Estel including the twins to laugh.
"Legs, funny." Estel said in a fit of giggles.
"Do you want to show Legolas how to play catch Estel?" Elladan asked.
Estel nodded and took hold of Legolas's hand and pulled him over to the gardens.
It was a fantasist afternoon Estel and Legolas or Legs as Estel call him became really good friends playing catch and talking.
