"Don't worry," they said. "We'll still love you the same, promise."

That was a promise my parents never kept.

My brother was spoiled and overshadowed me in absolutely everything.

Then came my sister, they no longer cared for or even thought of me, the eldest brother anymore.

After all those torturous years I could take it no more.

I was going insane.

I kept on hearing ghosts whispering the phrase, "The heroes are never seen," in my ear.

I was about to burst.

That all changed, on one certain evening in Foxfire.

I was strolling through the Elite towers, when a shining letter on my desk caught my eye.

"Meet me, 81/34/129 in the next five minutes. Make a temporary crystal; if you want to change the world and how people think of you."

The next moments happened in a blur of adrenaline.

I ran outside, my hands still sore from making the crystal so quickly.

The wind whistling through my ears seemed to chant a song of hope.

"You can do it." the voices sang.

My hand trembled as I raised the crystal to the dim moonlight.

And glittered into the darkness.
