Cole closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. The delicious scents of Piper's cooking swirled around him in thrilling aromas so heady that Cole had often sworn and still believed that it could tame the wildest of Demons. His eyes opened, and slowly he surveyed the feast laid out before him. His dark eyes roamed the succulent turkey, tender dressing, hot rolls, steaming casseroles, and yummy desserts before finally gazing upon the loveliest treasure of all: the face of his beautiful and beloved Piper.
"Mmm!" he announced, kissing her. "Thanksgiving! My favorite holiday!"
"That's what you said about Samhain." Piper smiled gently and teasingly. "And last year's Solstice, Samhain, and Thanksgiving."
His bold grin filled his handsome face. "So I did," he admitted, wrapping her in a huge and loving hug. "What I really meant is," he translated, kissing her hair before claiming her sweet lips with his, "my favorite holiday is any one for which you cook!"
"Mmm!" Piper murmured against his lips. "Now I definitely know what I'm thankful for this year, and, Cole, sweetheart, I would gladly cook every day like this if I had the time if it would make you this happy!" She kissed him again.
