Chapter 1: Marik Meets his Match
"Hahaha! You fool! You actually believed you could defeat me?" Marik kicked the young duelist on the ground. "Reaper of the Cards? What kind of rare is that?" He ripped the card into small pieces and dropped it on the cowering child in the back alley.
"So...the mighty Marik is picking on little kids." Another young boy looking about 15 stepped from the shadows. He wore a black tanktop that clung to his abs just right, blue jean shorts that were a little long and baggy, and all-white Air-Force 1's. His hair was deep velvet and hung loosely over his icy blue eyes. On his left arm was a duel disk.
"What do you want?" While Marik's attention was turned the kid took his opportunity and scurried away.
"Simple. I want a duel. I want your god card!"
Marik sneered. "If it's a duel you want it's a duel you'll get!"
Both loaded their duel disks and drew 5 cards. The first turn was Marik's. He drew. "I'll start this duel by Summoning Makyura the Destructor! And that will be it for my turn." A ghastly looking beast with long claws entered the field with 1600 attack. The other duelist drew.
"I'll start by activating Graceful Charity! This allows me to draw 3 cards and discard 2!" He did so. "I'll then activate Monster Reborn! Reviving my newly discarded Vampire Lord!" A sophisticated looking Vampire emerged from the ground with 2000 attack. "I'll then play Snatch Steal!" Marik grimaced as Makyura made his way to the new duelist's side of the field. "Now I'll summon the injection Fairy Lily!" A cute redhead in a nurse's outfit with a large needle and 400 attack appeared on the field. Marik looked ready to scream. "I'll then activate her special ability allowing me to pay 2000 life points to boost her attack by 3000." Lily's needle got bigger as her attack grew to 3400. Marik smirked.

"That's still not enough to wipe me out!"
"Oh yes it is...look again." The mysterious duelist's Monsters except for Lily were holding hands. Marik went pale.
"Oh no!"
"Oh yes! I activate the magic card United We Stand! This gives my monster 800 attack for every monster on my side of the field!" Lily's needle was almost too big for her with her new attack of 5800. Marik dropped to his knees as the attacks hit him.

The duelist strolled over to Marik, on his knees. "Give me it."
Marik shook his head. "No-"he started but was cut off when a swift kick to the side of the head toppled him over. The duelist picked up Marik's hand, extracted The Winged Dragon of Ra, and put it in his deck.
"Wh-who are you?" Marik gasped.
The duelist stepped hard on Marik's chest. "Me? I am the assassin of justice. I'm the best there's ever been. My name is Zane Tribolt!"
