Prologue: Run
We hate this life. They took us away from are homes and forced themselves or beat on us when ever they pleased. Sometimes, we wish to die. But, we don't want to die in their homeland where their deities will be in charge on what they do with souls, we want our homelands deities be the charge of souls.
So, my cousin and I did something that was incredibly stupid but truly brave. We want to bring the others that were taking from our homeland as well but they are either already broken down or died or took their own lives.
It was easy to escape that place, my cousin and I, for who'd would of thought that two women will escape when they are baring a child.
We thought of killing our babies while they were still inside of us because they created by the man who forced himself on and my cousin's baby was created by a different man that also forced himself on her but we didn't. Despite the babies father's being men be despised so much our unborn baby are still apart of us.
My cousin and I took a small with some provisions in the dead of night and began our journey through the watery depths of the sea.
It took weeks on end to finally made it back to what we call home. We were worried about our unborn child but we can they are still healthy and going strong from the way they moved inside our stomachs.
Me and my cousin want to go back to our families but we were too ashamed.
So, instead we build a hut that we believed was a secluded Oasis.
We just finished the finishing touches on our hut when my cousin went into labor.
My cousin didn't want to scream while she's was giving birth. I don't know why, I asked once she finished but she never say.
My cousin went into labor when Ra was in the middle of the sky and finish giving birth when Ra was setting.
She gave birth to a baby boy. Me and her fall in love with the baby boy instantly we ignore that he has the skin that raped my cousin.
He was one of the lights that shined through the darkness that we lived in even though we escaped our enemies lands.
The second and final light that shined and help get rid of our darkness once and for all was when I gave birth to my daughter after couple of months my cousin's son was born.
My baby girl had the same skin color as the man who raped me but that was okay with us, we still love her.
We ran from that horrible place and now we are happy with our new lives.
For the first time ever since we are captured, we are truly happy.
My cousin is happy that she finally give birth to her baby son, and me happy that I finally have my baby girl in my arms.
Yes we run. Even though it seemed so cowardly to run, we'll keep running because right now its hard to face our past.
We run from the men who forced themselves on us.
We run from that life.
We run our families because of the shame we went through in that other land.
We tried to run from being mothers but we didn't and we don't regret it.
We'll keep running 'til were ready to face what it is coming at us but for now we have some healing to do.
