Snuggles
When – Takes place sometime after the first book.
Summary – What happens when Fluffy (the three-headed dog guarding the stone) mates and has a baby?
A/N – This is just a short humorous story with no real point. Please R&R
The Forbidden Forest was dark and ominous, with creatures both good and evil lurking about. But the main event was happening right at the centre, where an enormous man stood, his massive figure shaking. As the moon shined on his face, tears were seen flowing freely from his eyes, leaving wet traces of their path along his cheeks. He was staring at two figures even larger than himself, with a third wedged in between that was slightly smaller.
"Hagrid," a voice said, cutting through the silence. "What did you want us to see?"
"Harry, Hermione, Ron – oh good, you're all here." The half-giant turned towards them, and their eyes shone with concern at the tears in his eyes.
"Hagrid, what's wrong?" Hermione asked, rushing forward to console the older man.
He pointed to the clearing, where the figures he was staring at lay. Hermione's eyes widened with horror.
"Oh my goodness," she breathed. Ron and Harry followed her gaze and their mouths dropped open. A thunderous roar came from the figures, and the wizards and witch moved closer to Hagrid.
"It's Snuggles," Hagrid said, wiping at a tear with a dirty handkerchief. "He was born last night. Fluffy and Lola are so proud. Isn't he beautiful?"
The four of them looked at the hideous creature that stood in front of them. Ron gulped.
"Not really."
"What are you talking about, Ron?" Hagrid asked, sincerely bewildered. "He's wonderful."
"Of – of course he is, Hagrid," Hermione said shakily, in an effort to please him. It worked, and Hagrid returned to watching "Snuggles", as he called him.
"He's even got six heads instead of three! I don't know what I've got to feed him."
"Hagrid," Ron said slowly. "You haven't… fed him yet?"
"Nope," he replied. "I was just watching him. He's so darn cute."
Snuggles let out a giant roar, and all six of his heads bared their teeth, as if eyeing them for dinner. From behind them, a branch cracked and the group whirled around to find them face to face with Malfoy who was looking up at the monsters with fear.
"I'm gonna… I'm gonna tell my father about what you're keeping here! It can't be legal. You just watch, you big oaf!"
He turned and started to run away, but Snuggles was faster. With tremendous speed he ran after Malfoy and snatched him up with one of his mouths. In one gulp and a scream later, Malfoy was gone.
"Does anyone feel kinda hungry?" Harry asked.
"Could go for some pudding," Ron agreed.
And so they left, leaving Hagrid wiping his tears as he watched his beloved Snuggles.
