Was it wrong that part of him was glad?
Not because he didn't love her.
Because he did.
And not because he wanted her to die.
He would have gladly taken the bullet.
He would much rather it have been him.
It wasn't fair that it had to be her.

He was glad.

They are all important to him.
They were his team.
But they were more than that. They were his family.
But he was glad.
She was dead and he was glad.
How horrible was that.

But that's how he felt.
He wasn't glad because she was dead.
He was glad because he was okay.
