"Kurogane"

He words nearly slipped out

when you showed me that smile.

So cold I felt a chill.

I almost gasped at the pain it caused

the memory haunts me still.

Fai, why did it have to be this way?

It didn't have to change.

It was selfish I know but I couldn't let you go,

My friend, my ice hearted mage.

Sick, almost, to the stomach…

Wounded by what you said.

The more we speak the more I realize…

A small part of you is now dead

The part the use to call me names,

smile with glee and laugh,

the part that had begun to try

I always loved that half

In my mind I heard the words,

My voice issuing sad and flat –

"Damn it Fai, of all the things…never call me that"

I know, i know another poem dealing with the big "Goodmorning, Kurogane" but i was just so surprised at how profound a moment could be in a comic. Books, tv seris, movies and even songs have these beautiful, deep and important moments and i had no idea a manga could capture it so well. I mean i've nearly cried before when reading a manga and i've relished in moments from a manga but never realised how amazing such a small panel, a wordless expression and a greeting could have so much meaning behind it. That's what i call a look inspired.
