Author's Note: I do not own Fruits Basket. This is written for the FanFiction High-School Never Ends - big challenge and the Double-Dose of Restricts Challenge. My restricts were one chapter and alternate reality. So, for the sake of this fic:

-Katsuya and Kyoko are still alive

Tohru stood between her best friends, Saki and Arisa, followed by Megumi, as they walked to visit their Sohma friends. Hatsuharu, while he was in black mode, took the chance to invite them to his cousin's house to meet some of his family, after overhearing the three girls talk about being single. Tohru was pretty clueless on the topic of romance, but Saki and Arisa seemed amused by it, so she decided that it must be a good thing. Of course, her parents' expressions when she told them why she was going to hang out with her friends should have been a pretty big hint of what they thought was going to happen. That, or her mother handing Arisa her old pipe and telling her to use it against any boys getting too close to her Tohru. Katsuya had had to keep Kyoko from following them, which he was still struggling with, even after they left.

Tohru smiled, as she looked at her friends. Arisa was walking next to her, with a death grip on the pipe, while she was wearing Kyoko's former gang outfit. Saki was looking behind them at her younger brother, who wasn't bothering to pretend that he wasn't spying on them. Tohru wondered why Megumi was so determined to follow them, after all, all they were doing was going to meet some guys, some that they had never met before, at a house that they'd never been to before.

Saki pointed at a house, "Isn't this it?"

The three others looked over at where she was pointing. Megumi sighed, "You three can't be serious, right? You're just going to go up to some random house, whose address you got from some kid at school, and knock on the door. For all you know, the person that lives there could be a serial rapist. I think it's an extremely stupid idea."

Saki and Arisa stared at Megumi, impressed by his dramatic speech and wondering how he came up with the term serial rapist. Tohru simply looked confused, "What's a serial rapist?"

Megumi sighed, "It's like a serial killer, but instead of killing people, they rape them."

Tohru nodded, but still looked confused, "So, we shouldn't go inside?" Megumi nodded.

Saki turned and pointed at a bush, "There's someone in there, with very angry waves…" Arisa walked towards the bush, preparing to hit the someone with her pipe.

Katsuya came running up behind the girls, towards the bush, "Kyoko! I thought we agreed that you would not follow them!"

Kyoko came out from the bush, "You're the one who believed me. I had to say it to get you to stop watching me. I'm not going to let my daughter become the victim of a serial rapist!" Megumi nodded in agreement, while Katsuya simply sighed and shook his head.

The three girls decided against going to the random house, and spent the rest of the day at Tohru's house.
