A/N: Hi guys! Sorry this took a few days, I read through You Can't Kill a Roach and fixed all the spelling mistakes. Then I had to think of how to start this, which took quite a bit of consideration as well, so sorry for the wait. But I'm back now, so have fun! ;)
Btw, sorry this is super short! It was more like a teeny tiny prologue instead of an actual chapter, but I promise none of the others will be this short! I'll update soon! But I have EOCs (big end of the year tests) all through this coming week, so I don't know how soon it'll be before I can get another chapter out...
*This is set 1 month after the events in the epilogue*
Disclaimer: I don't own Call of Duty, just my OC (Luke).
It was 3:00 in the morning. Roach and Ghost, as well as the rest of the 141 were sound asleep in their beds. That is, until Roach's cellphone rang. He and Ghost both jumped at the sudden noise, but then the younger man sighed and sat up, pulling Ghost's arm from around his waist as he did so. He felt around for his phone, thinking that it was just a contact who lived in a different country with different time zones.
"Ugh, what's that?" Ghost mumbled tiredly.
"Just a contact, go back to sleep." He replied, fingers curling around his phone.
He stood and took his phone with him, answering it when he was standing just outside the door.
"Hello?" He said, running a hand through his hair as he leaned against the wall.
At first there was just static... but then a voice appeared, breaking but still understandable. And very familiar.
"...Gary... coming to... get you... see y- soon."
His heart stopped. His hands began to shake and the phone fell from his hand, shattering on impact when it hit the floor. Tears rose in his eyes as fear ate its way through his body.
He screamed.
A/N: Hehehe... anyone wanna guess who called?
