"Runo!" Dan rushes into the house.
"Dan!" Runo races toward him. The 2 hug hold a long glance at each other.
"I've missed you, Runo," Dan finally mutters. He hurries to hug her.
"Me too. I just wished you would be okay," whispers Runo, "welcome home."
"Do you... want to talk somewhere?" asks Dan, "you know, so we can... talk."
Runo giggles a bit. "Sure." The 2 of them walk outside.
"Hey, Dan? Do you.. wanna go to that baseball field?" suggests Runo, "that was where we always played when we were little."
"Yeah, sure." They walk towards the bleachers and sit on the bottom row.
"So, how's life?" asks Dan.
"I guess it's okay.." Runo's voice drifts off. "It's just that I missed you.. a lot."
"I did too."
"So, uh," Runo says awkwardly, "how was it?"
"Well, we succeeded, I guess."
"Um, did you do anything else? Y'know, outside of all the bakugan stuff?"
"Nah, not really."
"What about.. Fabia?" asks Runo. Dan notices her eyes shimmer a bit.
"Wh-what do you mean, Runo?" stutters Dan.
"Are you two..." Runo looks away.
"What? You think we're dating?!"
"N-noo.."
"What gives you that idea?"
"I didn't say that! It's just that Shun mentioned a lot about her... She's a Haos brawler like me too. She has blue hair and green eyes like me. She's also a female brawler. And..." Runo turns her back to Dan. "She has a crush on you too. She can easily replace me in your life."
Dan holds Runo by the shoulders. "What?! I don't like Fabia! She's only a friend."
"Well," responds Runo, "it's not a big deal anyway." She stands up, about to leave.
"Runo!" Dan grasps tight on Runo's wrist.
"Let go of me!" Runo says behind tears.
To Runo's surprise, Dan flings her around to face him. Then, he lands a kiss onto her lips. After a few seconds, Dan stops.
"Huh?" Runo is shocked.
"Runo, I only like you," affirms Dan. He holds Runo's hands.
"R-really?" Runo holds back tears.
"Really."
"I love you Dan." Runo envelops Dan in her arms.
"Please don't leave me again."
