I apologize to those who have already read through the little bit I have posted, but I am hoping this plot change will help me get this one completed! PROLOGUE

"Hans," she sighed, one hand braced against his chest as the other tightly gripped the headboard. Growling, Hans let his hands run over her, their bodies moved fluidly together as she rode him. Her nails digging into his chest, he noticed her movements quickening, and knew she was on the verge of coming…

The sound of a woman's voice brought Hans out of his daydream, and looking over he realized the flight attendant had asked him a question. "Pardon?" he asked.

"I asked if you would like something to drink, sir," she repeated with a small smile.

Raising his hand and shaking his head, Hans politely declined, and she gave a nod before moving to the next person in row. Looking back out the window, he watched the clouds below them as his mind once more wandered to Rose, and the brief time they shared. A year had passed since the incident involving the Nakatomi corporation, and yet the moments spent with her were still fresh in his head as if it had happened just yesterday. Since when did this happen? Since when did he become so overtaken with the mere idea of a woman? He barely knew this girl, who was meant to be nothing more than a hostage. Yet here he sat, completely consumed by the thought of her. Was it simply the lustful thought of having her in his bed once more which had him so obsessed, or was it more than that? At this point in time, he was unable to distinguish just what he felt for Rose, and was becoming desperate to figure it out. He longed to see her once more, and to at the very least attempt to explain his abrupt departure. Hans had known that morning leaving her behind would be a mistake. Walking out of that hotel room had been more difficult than he ever expected, and many a day he cursed himself for not turning back around. Despite regretting it, he constantly reminded himself it was the best for her. She was such an innocent little thing, and he could not justify sucking her into his dangerous lifestyle. So while he was certain she hated him, and felt like he had used her, at least she was safe.

Having become so engrossed with his thoughts, Hans was taken by surprise when there was an announcement overhead informing everyone of their nearing arrival. Glancing back out the window, he noticed they were descending upon the city of San Diego. This was it - he was merely minutes away from making a complete change in his life. Tired of constantly running, and constantly having to keep his guard up, Hans had decided to begin earning his money the honest way, and with the help of some partners who were clueless to his past, managed to get his own corporation up and running. He vowed to end his career of crime, and simply hoped this life-altering choice would be worth it...
