Yami sighed and put his pen down..."Complete" he said happily, giving a smile as he looked to the lightning outside. He got up from his chair, and walked to the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror "No one will care...no one will read it...no one will notice the blood on the floor..." crimson eyes brimmed with tears...he walked to the kitchen and grabbed a sugar cookie...he looked at it, how the sugar glaze made it sparkle...he said calmly "Nothing's sweeter than sugar to give you a peaceful death."...he eyed the knives on the counter, the way they shined with silver glory, as though the knives were just longing for blood to drip down them...their purpose fufilled...he grabbed a hold of one and pulled it out, putting the cookie down in the process, it was a large butcher knife with a foot long blade and a sharp, needle-like tip...he gave a sadistic sneer as he pointed the tip to the vein at his wrist...he winced as the blade sliced through the vein, crimson leaking down his skin, dripping on the tile...Yami sighed in content, he looked at the sugar cookie, and snatched it. He took a small bite...his last bit of food...he felt dizzy, and toppled to the floor, landing in a pool of his own blood...the sugar cookie was dropped, and it landed in the pool as well, it's sweetness spoiled by absorbing the mess around it, turning it's color from golden brown to pink with warm blood. Yami weakly heard the door open, and smiled...Yuugi had come home.
Yuugi looked around, and noticed red liquid coming through the tile grout. "What the f--" he peered around the corner, and screamed "OH MY GOD! YAMI!!??" he dropped what he was holding and ran to his friend, kneeling next to him. "I...missed...you..." Yuugi cried out "why do this Yami!!?? WHY? Why do this to me!?" "I have no regrets..." "what!?" "...I..." "What is it!?" "I...l...I love...you...Yuugi..." Yami choked out, sighing lightly as Yuugi began to cry. "I...I love you t-too Yami!! Oh please don't die!!" "I'll be w-watching you...goodbye..." and, before he took his dying breath, he grabbed Yuugi's shoulder to pull himself up, and planted a small, tender kiss on his partner's lips...Yuugi gasped and cried harder as Yami closed his eyes, and took a shallow breath, then laid there limp...Yuugi looked at the sugar cookie on the floor, and whispered "he never ate sugar cookies...they were my favorite..." he looked at Yami again, and said "Nothing is sweeter than sugar to give you a peaceful death eh? Would've thought so..."...

I actually like to eat sugar cookies! They're the best cookie next to oatmeal raisin! They taste so good with a glass of cold milk...I'm getting myself hungry...eep...by the way, nobody read the letter Yami left after he died, it was buried under papers on his dresser.
