Crawled up underneath the sheets of the bed she was laying in, Rosalie sobbed, reminiscing of the earlier days, the happier days, the days in which she didn't know Edward. She realized she couldn't turn back time but wishing she could wouldn't hurt, right? She got up her feet, seeing her reflection in the nearby mirror.
'Oh god, I look awful' she mouthed acknowledging the way she looked.
She walked towards the bathroom, entering to wash her face and put on a coat of mascara. A loud knock on the door abruptly stopped her from putting on some lipgloss.
Thinking it was room service she swiftly opened the door, only to be faced with the person she was constantly running away from; Edward.
'Edward?'
'You selfish little… ugh' he said balling his hands into fists, then smacking the door open, and so letting himself in the hotel room.
She didn't say anything.
'How could you do that, Rose?' 'Do you have any idea what I've been going through?'
'What you've been going through? What about me? How do you think I feel?'
Rosalie noticed that his face changed expression every single word she spoke, it went from relieved to worried to angry to confused in just a few moments.
'Why do you think I ran away?' she continued 'Not because I was in the mood to see Lady Liberty'
'What did you expect me to say?'
'Something,' she paused for half a second 'anything' she finished
'I was shaken by your words, Rose' he said now sitting in the couch, looking deep into Rosalie's eyes, causing her to turn around and walk away.
'Shaken? I said I wanted us to be exclusive, for real, to be us not Edward & Rosalie'
'I…'
'If you can't take that, than you're not the guy I thought you were, Edward'
'I honestly didn't, look, truth is I care about you Rosalie, and I probably always will, but when you said those things, I couldn't respond with any words because it made me question what we were, what we are' 'But I know what I want now, and what I want is you' 'I love you Rosalie Hale, and I guess that means I wanna be together, I wanna be us'
A tiny smile brightened up her face, her eyes covered in tears. She sighed. 'I love you too, Edward Cullen' right before she could finish her declaration he pressed his lips firmly against hers. She didn't hesitate and pulled him closer, closer than he had ever been. They made love that night, with the street lights slipping through the window. Everything felt perfect then, as if for once they were destined to be together.
