Hi, this is my first fanfic so it's not very good. It's set in the big one, season 3, when Rory has to give her Chilton speech. Plz read and review and let me no whether to carry on the story! Plz Plz Plz!
Lorelai: Hi.
Max: (to man) Please excuse me a moment.
Man: sure.
Max follows Lorelai to the coffee table
Max: We seem to be running into each other a lot lately.
Lorelai: Oh, come on, you know where there's C-SPAN, there's . . . me.
Max: Is Rory around?
Lorelai: Um, she's looking for Paris and panicking she's gonna have to do this alone.
Max: Well, Paris'll come.
Lorelai: I told her that. Listen, do you have a second?
Max: Sure.
Lorelai: I just, um. . .I just wanna talk to you about. . .uh. . .
they walk to an empty classroom
Max: As I was saying, we seem to be running into each other a lot recently, is that on purpose or coincidence?
Lorelai: Actually the first time I saw you was a coincidence, but these few times today were kinda on purpose.
Max: Why, really, did you drop something?
Lorelai: Erm…no. Max. Listen, You probably think that I ran away from you that night because I don't love you. Not that I don't love you because I do, very much. I just ran away from you because I am afraid of commitment to someone like you.
Max: Someone like me? What. What is that supposed to mean?
Lorelai: Someone as sophisticated as you and as educated as you, and a high school drop-out like me. That's what I mean.
Max: Lorelai, just because you didn't graduate from high school, and had a baby at 16, doesn't mean that we can't be together; it just means that everyone is different. I mean look at yourself, u have a successful business, great friends and a wonderful daughter. I have been teaching at the same school for over 3 years, live where there is no village life where you know everybody, and I haven't had a girlfriend as incredible as you since high school.
( Lorelai sits down on one of the desks next to Max.)
Max: I mean you have everything you could ever need, I have nothing.
Lorelai: Don't look at things that way, after all….you have me….
( Lorelai turns to face max and kisses him. Surprisingly, max kisses her back, but Lorelai pulls away.)
Lorelai: Im sorry, this was a really big mistake; I shouldn't have come back after what happened.
(Lorelai starts to walk towards the door)
Max: Lorelai, wait!
(He runs and shuts the door before Lorelai gets there)
Max: I love you too…
( Max kisses Lorelai passionately, and Lorelai kisses max back but then someone walks in)
Rory: Mom! What do you think you're doing!
