Something some friends and I came up with in English class, way back when; it's a poetic summary of Golding's "Lord of the Flies," which does not belong to me. This, however, partially does belong to me. Enjoy!
Savagery, or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Beast
There once was an island in the middle of the sea,
A bushel of boys drifting away from humanity;
Savagery will take over - you'll see,
The boys on the island come to lose their sanity.
The boys chose a leader, but alas it would fail.
The beast will bring the boys to war,
And Simon met his end during a frightening gale,
At the feast of Jack on the opposite shore.
They will never ever be the same,
Some of them even forgot their own name.
Not fantastic, but it got a few laughs as I recall.
