As the golden ship approached, Karkat saw her leaning over the deck waving and shouting excitedly to the friends she hadn't talked to in three years. So happy that as soon as they were close enough, she launched herself in Dave's arms, screeching with delight as he whirled her around. All he could do was watch from the side while laughter lit up her beautiful face and her ebony locks bounced with every step. Once again stuck on the sidelines, unable to say the words he wanted to. Everyone was summarily introduced to everyone else as Rose made the appropriate introductions.

Jade smiled and nodded at each name, pausing to give Kanaya a hug as well. Karkat had had enough and turned to go back inside the meteor to his room. He missed her anxious looks around, he never saw Kanaya knowingly whisper some directions in her ear. Karkat flopped onto the floor in his room dejectedly. Great, just another person who ignored his very existence.

"That's a fine greeting Karkat! And to think you're my patron troll." Startled he lifted his head up to see a bemused Harley with hands on her hips standing in his doorway. It was all he could do to scramble quickly until he remembered himself and tried to play it off nonchalantly. "You seemed pretty busy to me Jade. Why the fuck would I want to get in between such a thinkpan rottingly sweet reunion. It was enough to make me empty my chute all over this stupid meteor." It was so irritating the way her mouth quirked to one side and her brow furrowed just the way it always did when she didn't believe a word he said.

"Damn it Harley! Don't fucking give me that look like I'm chock full of hoof beast cast off. Whatever, I don't give a flying deranged shit covered chute, just go back to your little welcoming party and leave my sorely abused ass alone." With that, he turned away from her so she wouldn't see the crestfallen look he couldn't manage to hide. Half of him wished she would just walk away and leave him alone, though he wasn't sure he could handle it if she did. What he wasn't prepared for was the gentle arms that encircled him from behind and her sweet floral smell assaulted his every pore.

"You know you really are the stupidest troll, I swear! Karkat I'm so happy to meet you finally you big idiot. Stop trying to push me away!" Her voice was so soft; he could barely pick it up even though it was right next to his oracular glands. "It hasn't been easy, huh? Well it hasn't exactly been a picnic for me either but… I heard about what happened and I'm sorry." Relaxing her hold on him, she stepped away and threw a wink over her shoulder as he turned to face her. "Now come on fuckass and join the party!" Before he could blink she had lunged for his hand and began dragging him without too much effort as he was still speechless for once in his life.
