A/N : Hey guys sorry that I haven't finished Revenge of the Shadow Broker yet but this story kept coming and wouldn't stop until I had finished it so I hope you guys like my first shot into the Dragon Age universe.

Jason Trevelyan woke up his dreams hadn't been pleasant ever since he lost the anchor and his hand. He knew that there would be more trouble on the horizon it angered him that he couldn't join the fight. Jason took a deep breath and rose out of bed, he was careful not to wake Josephine who was sleeping beside him.

Soon after he disbanded the Inquisition Warden Evie Cousland has arrived with a cure for the Calling and had offered Highever for the members of the Inquisition who were staying with the Inquisitor. Marian and Carver Hawke had joined them soon after.

Jason stood on the balcony wishing he had decided to put something thicker on before standing out side.

"You going to stand there all night?" A voice asked behind him

"What are you doing up if any of us you deserve a rest" Jason asked as Evie walked beside him.

"The Calling may be gone but the nightmares that come with it haven't."

Evie said as she rested her arms on the balcony side.

"You grew up here didn't you?" Jason asked

"I did some of my happiest and saddest memories are here" Evie said

"Right, Howe…Leliana told me"

"I know she did…she trusts you a lot to tell you that"

"Sometimes I think I'm not worthy of that trust" Jason admitted

"Why's that? If you think that you were unprepared for what happened to you, neither was I or Marian you just have to do what's best and you did, you saved the Mages when all others would have joined the Templars, you gave Briala the influence to give elves something to hope for, you helped my brothers and sisters, you saved Orzamar and have a beautiful woman waiting for you I'd say you did pretty well" Evie said Jason smiled.

"I guess…How do you deal with your nightmares?"Evie sighed.

"it's difficult but Leliana helps me she calms me down and allows me to drift back to sleep with her lullabies" Evie admitted

"I don't think that works for everyone I mean I can't see Isabella singing a lullaby to Marian" Jason joked.

"Ha…no she makes sure Marian has no energy left to do anything but sleep" Evie explained.

"I see, but what should I do?"

"Talk to Josephine she above anyone will be able to help you"

"Thanks Evie…if you don't mind me asking why Leliana didn't help you tonight?" Jason asked.

"I didn't have a nightmare…all those nights alone made it easy for anyone making any noise to wake me up"

"Right sorry"

"Don't worry about it…worry about Josephine who is no doubt waiting for you"

"I made sure she's asleep before I left"

"She was once a Bard trust me they can pretended to be asleep very well, I remember when Leliana and I started I used to think I could handle it myself and slipped out at night, just like you have done tonight, but after a few nights Leliana confronted me and I told her everything, that night as she held me as I felt broken and vulnerable crying into her chest was the night I realised I wasn't alone not anymore" Evie said wiping a stray tear from her cheek.

"Go to her talk to her Inquisitor and she'll help you I promise"

"Thank you Warden…good night"

"goodnight to you Inquisitor and may your dream take you to wondrous places"
