A pink haired kunoichi sat on a small wooden bench, waiting. Her emerald eyes stared blankly across the horizon. She was waiting. For what? Even she did not know. A small breeze rustled her short, pink hair across her forehead. The wide forehead that everyone used to tease her about. Ino, Naruto…. She listed silently in her head. There was another name, one that she hadn't thought about for a long time. And….Sasuke…
No! She thought, clenching her fists. I can't think about him! That's the past, the old Sasuke everyone used to know is long gone.
Suddenly, Sakura sensed a chakra presence appear behind her. An enemy! But here in Konoha? Still, she dared not move, a ninja knew that the first attacker was always at a disadvantage. Sakura still couldn't help but notice the familiarity of the chakra signature, it was so familiar, so close to her. Yet, she couldn't figure out who it was.
"You sure have a large, charming forehead. Makes me want to kiss it..." A dry voice whispered behind her.
Almost immediately, the gears clicked into place. Sakura remembered that voice, that time many years ago. She whipped around, a chakra scalpel forming in her hands. "Sasuke." She said, her tone threatening. Sure enough, the raven haired boy was standing behind her, his black eyes penetrating into her green ones, and his loose shirt waving in the wind. What was he doing back in Konoha?
Before she could even make a move, Sasuke put his hands on her waist and clamped his lips onto hers. Sakura stood, shocked as she felt his lips on hers. Slowly, her shock faded. Yes, this is what she had been waiting for, all this time. Missing nin or not, he was still Sasuke, the boy she had a crush on since childhood. Sakura put her delicate hands on his, a smile grazing her lips as they kissed.

On a side note, this fic is not going to have a sequel or anything, just a cute little scene I made up in my head.
