She sits.

She sits and waits on the bed in the room where she'd just kissed the man she truly loves. She has mixed feelings, she's happy that he returned the feelings but she's guilty that they did this behind her best friend's back and she's engaged to a perfectly nice guy but she cheated on him. It's just that Jordan is not the one for her. Caleb is.

It's so dark and Hanna's trembling because A is trying to get inside. The anonymous stalker keeps banging on the doors and she keeps her eyes glued to the floor. She doesn't want to be seen, even though she knows that she's fully visible and totally vulnerable to an attack. Yet, he told her she'd be safe here. She's locked in here and completely protected.

The thumping stops for a while and then she can only hear the sound of her own breathing. It's shaky and she's alone and a part of her wishes she'd never gone through with the plan.

None of this had to do with her friends. She didn't know why they were involved. They don't even care about Charlotte because they were tortured by her for a year. Why someone would kill her, well, she could think of tons of reasons and it would make sense if she or her friends decided to get revenge on the bitch, but murder? Nobody wanted to go back to prison.

There's a bump and then another and then three more. She thinks her friends are trying to get inside. "Uh...Caleb? Aria? Is that you?"

It's coming from the floor, she realizes all of a sudden. She doesn't understand how the masked figure could've gotten through the vent or how anyone missed that before, but the villain takes three steps toward her and she can't move. She's scared stiff and she's unable to so much as scream. Her mouth is moving, but no words are coming out. Don't hurt me she wants to say. Once they touch her, her survival instincts kick in and she starts blindly punching them. They're too fast for her, though. Whoever it is puts their gloved hand tight against her mouth and their other arm wraps around her belly as she struggles, but she knows she can't run. They turn her over and tie her wrists together behind her back while pushing her face into a pillow. She's whimpering and crying until A slaps her across the face, leaving the corner of her mouth bloody.

The kiss she shared with Caleb plays over and over in her mind. She imagines him caring for her, but he can't because she's going to die. When she was in the hospital before, all her friends were there and so were her mom and Caleb. They'll go to her funeral and she can't remember what she last said to each of them.

She starts to lose consciousness and then it all goes dark. Frightened and panicked voices are shouting, "Hanna!" but it's probably all in her head...
