Poem, yay. I haven't been able to write along a story line lately, as you can see from You Cant Escape Fate but atleast im writing i guess. I hope you like it. Please Review!
Imagine
If only I could see your smiling face
Feel the softness of you touch
Taste the sweetness of your tongue
But I couldn't, all I could do was close my eyes
And imagine
Imagine your hand in mine
The subtle brush of your hair against my cheek
The warmth of your embrace
The texture of your lips
How come it seems we had so much but had nothing at all?
I imagine the day you held me in your arms and whispered in my ear
The sun was setting, casting brilliant colors along the sky
There were so many people but you made me feel as if we were alone
I imagined that I had replied back
That I told you what I had been dying to say
That you smiled and held me, not wanting to let go
But I was too afraid
My heart jumped with joy when you told me
But I didn't believe it had been real
So I remained quiet
And when I finally went to tell you
You were silenced forever
Now I can only imagine your response
Imagine where we would be today
A house and kids?
Or in your apartment with our friends a few floors below?
You would think the pain would fade, with all that time that has past
But it has truly not, nor do I think it will
Your presence used to be everywhere
Now it all just seems empty, forgotten
But you will never be
So I close my eyes
And imagine you standing before me
I hold your face between my palms
Gently kiss your lips
And lightly whisper in your ear
I love you
But as you can see, I can only imagine
For I was too late
