A Certain Proactive Mission (Synopsis)
A rumour has been spreading around about girls getting abducted on the streets of AC. In the span of a few days, dozens of girls filed reports to anti-skill claiming to be the victims of the said abduction. Anti-skill have a feeling that they know who is behind it but they had to drop the case due to lack of physical evidence.
Their story were all the same. It happened during night-time while they were sound asleep. Suddenly, a glimpse of spark ignited in the dead of the night partially waking them and a tiny sting caused them to quick pass out. The moment they wake up, their heads were bagged and their body tied to what it seems to be a metal chair. The place was cold and they can hear footsteps echoing from a far. They must be inside a large bunker or some underground facility. Wherever it is, they instinctively knew that they were brought to somewhere very far. None of them saw the abductors but they were sure that they are groups of teenage girls judging from the tone of their voices. They were asked several standard questions.
- Why are you following #1?
- Who sent you?
- What do you want with him?
- Is there anyone else with you?
- How much about him do you know so far?
The abductor told them that they can sense lies and would resort to forced memory extraction if the need arise. They have no choice but to answer as honestly as they can. Some girls said that they just like to see him and was too shy to directly approach him. Others have no idea why they are even being questioned about him. After the thorough interrogation, they felt a tingling sensation and passed out again. The morning after, they woke up in their own bedroom as if nothing had happened.
The victimized girls were the same one who spread the rumours. Warning other girls not to get involved with #1 or they will get abducted too. Since them, fewer & fewer girls filed complaints until there were none. Until now, nobody knows who those group of girls really are. It became one of the famous urban legends in AC.
For weeks time, Accelerator noticed a strange aura gradually forming around him. Things became clear to him after he heard about the legend. He instantly knew who were behind the abductions so he gave Last Order a big chop on the head. The experience rippled throughout the Misaka Network leaving everybody with a lingering pain on their heads.
