"I can't believe I'm doing this! I can't believe your making me do this!" I said. "Oh come on! It'll be fun once you've learned!" Mako said.
I yelped and clung to the handle bars of the bike as Mako gave me a little push to get me moving. "Pedal, Korra!" He yelled. "Okay! Okay!" I yelled back and moved my legs in a circular motion.
I got about two feet from where I started pedaling and lost my BALANCE and fell over. I groaned and tried to push the bike up, but it just kept falling back on top of me.
I saw Mako run to me. He then asked, "Korra, You okay?" "Yeah" I mumbled. He pulled the bike up and put the stopper down to keep it from tipping over again. Then, he reached his hand down to me to help me up. I mumbled something unintelligent and grabbed his hand. He pulled me up fast and asked, "Wanna try again?" "Fine." I replied, quietly.
I sat back on the bike and Mako put his arms around me and his hands on top of mine, which were on the handlebars of the bike. I couldn't help but blush a little. He smiled as he saw my red face.
"Okay, this time I'm gonna help you keep your BALANCE" he said. "Okay, but you better not let me fall." I replied. He just chuckled.
He then started to slowly walk forward, pulling the bike and I along with him. I clung to the handlebars and started pedaling again. I was extremely wobbly, but he wouldn't let me fall. We were moving extremely slow for about five yards when he said, "Believe it or not, when you pedal faster, it's easier to keep your BALANCE" I sighed loudly and said, "Okay, I'll try."
I started pedaling faster, which made Mako have to run to keep up with me. I couldn't help but laugh a little at the face he was making with his position and running to keep up with me. He saw me laughing and let go of me.
"Ahh! Mako!" I screamed. I heard him laughing behind me as I was panicking. I then realized that I was doing it! I was riding the bike! I was doing well for a while, until I tried to turn and lost my BALANCE. I yelped and put my foot on the ground before I could fall.
I smiled a wide smile as I saw Mako running towards me. "Did you see me? Did you see me? I actually did it! And I didn't fall like before!" I said to him, sounding like a child. He laughed and replied with, "I saw you! You did great!"
I sat back on the bike and tried to start pedaling but I kept almost-falling. "Mako, could you give me a push?" I asked, innocently. He smiled and replied with, "Just start pedaling with one big push on one leg, then join in your other leg and start pedaling together." "Okay, I'll try." I said. It took me a couple tries to get it, but I started and kept my BALANCE.
After many tries, I mastered how to start pedaling, how to turn, and most importantly, how to keep my BALANCE.
"Thank you for teaching me how to ride I bike, Mako" I said, trying to flirt. He smiled and pulled me close to him, "It was my pleasure." he replied as he leaned in to kiss me.
