I sighed. It was raining outside. Again. I had already predicted that today would be a tiresome day with the ever so gloomy rain.

Mentally groaning, I remembered rushing this morning and forgetting my raincoat. These days, university got more and more challenging. I had spent last night studying for the test today.

Silently, I gathered my books and my laptop and put them in my backpack. I stepped outside reluctantly.

The November rain was pouring and the sky as gray as ashes. I started to jog.

Not long, I had reached the café near Central Park. I loved this café. The view was amazing and the content was amazing.

I stopped outside the closed café, under the awning, trying to catch my breath.

"Don't you just love the rain?"

I looked to my right and saw a guy with the goofiest smile I have ever seen. He was tall, around my age, had dark hair, and mesmerizing sea green eyes. He turned to me smiling.

"What?"

"The rain, I love the rain."

"Why?" I asked him. I was genuinely interested in the conversation. Why would you like the rain? I mean, it's just event-ruining, clothes-ruining, day-ruini-

"Have you ever lifted your head and opened your mouth whilst it's raining?"

I laughed good-heartedly. "No."

He looked at me and gestured me to try with a grin.

I walked out of the awning into the rain without hestitation. I don't know why, but I felt as if I could trust this guy with my life.

Leaning back, I caught multiple drops of water in my mouth.

"Doesn't it taste like wine?"

I looked at him through the corner of my eyes. He too was drinking in the rain.

I tasted the rain.

If rain was wine, then I just had the best wine in my life.

I put my head back down and looked at him.

"Wow. It does tasted like wine. That was…that was amazing."

He grinned widely. "Told you so."

I could tell he was very childish and I laughed.

He then tilted his head and looked at me frowned. He looked like an insanely cute puppy.

"Haven't you tried it before?"

I glanced at him sadly.

"Never had the chance."

He came over to me and put his arm around me.

"I'll have you know that snow tastes like ice cream."

I laughed again. I haven't laughed so much in a long time.

"Really?" I asked playfully.

"Really."

"Then I'll have to try it sometime." I promised.

He put his head back up and tasted the wine once again. He let go of me and I immediately missed the warmth.

"I'm Percy. Percy Jackson."

"Annabeth Chase."

"Well, Annabeth, I'll see you around."

"Wait-" I started, but he already turned the corner and left.

- 2 months later -

It was snowing.

I sat inside my apartment in my pajamas. In my hand held a cup of hot cocoa and in the other a novel. I was on the couch with the warm light illuminating me and the calmness, when I had the sudden urge to go outside.

I got up slowly and a smile growing on my face. I dashed out the door and ran down the hall to in my pajamas and a quickly thrown on coat. I ignored the stares I got.

I couldn't believe I had almost forgotten him.

Percy Jackson.

For two months I had a weird feeling. I realized I was looking for him. I searched New York to my limits, but no Percy Jackson.

Now I stood in front of the café. The café was open but I didn't go inside. I stood in the falling snow and lifted my head.

I was enjoying the snow when two hands covered my vision.

"Guess who?"

I stood there for a while in shock.

"Percy?"

The hands revealed a familiar face with familiar eyes.

I tackled him and hugged him. We fell on the snow and Percy laughed.

"Percy?" I said again.

"Yes Annabeth?" he said my name like a wonder. We stared at each other in the eyes and with smiles.

"It does taste like ice cream."
