As I open my eyes to a brand new day
Something did grab my thoughts
As the day begins so bright and gay
I want to share a thought.
I never want you to feel down or blue
For something that I did
My work for all is tried and true
When I put the pen to page
It for me, but also you.
I don't want to take away from you
The thoughts that you bring
The ideas that you bring to me
Brings my attention to the scene.
My work is to bring joy and peace
To try and give some light
The hate in this world is the true beast
And I fight it with all my might.
When I put my pen to page
It is to share a smile
Because as time passes from age to age
It will be worth the while.
