The aftermath of the war was worse than experiencing it in the first place. People were sitting down on the streets with their heads hung between their hands. Dust and rubble were everywhere. As I gazed around at what was formally the lively streets of Brooklyn my chest ached, and I realized all that we had lost.

"Cap, where did everyone go?" Black Widow asked frantically. We had been searching the vast woods of Wakanda for hours now, refusing to accept that Thanos had succeeded. "I don't know," I whispered, "I don't know." Thor had already gone back up to the palace with Bruce to try to figure out what happened to Stark. The rest of the avengers who didn't disappear after the snap went out into the cities to help other survivors. After one more hour of searching for any clues that might guide us in the right direction we head back up to join Thor and Bruce. As we are walking through the halls we see a ship that seems to be rapidly approaching. As it comes closer to the ground we realize that it was falling. It tumbles like a rocket from the sky and we run for cover only to see Thor smiling. It crashes into the ground and a cloud of smoke erupts all around us making a mushroom like shape in the air around us. We prep ourselves for whatever may spring out only to see a platform being lowered. Out walks Tony. I run at him as fast as I charge into battle. He cringes as if expecting me to hit him but relaxes in a way that almost seems confused when I only embrace him. I know that after the avengers broke up we have been on opposite sides of battles, but it is nice to see someone alive. Then as I am pulling away, something blue flashes in the background. My whole-body tenses as my instincts tell me to expect a threat but from out behind Tony, crawls Nebula. She is leaning against the ship as if the mere sight of us all is an inconvenience for her. I groan and look back at Thor to see his grin fading. He walks up to Stark and says, "Where are the others?" He opens his mouth as if he is going to speak but can't seem to find the words. After about a minute or so he says with a grim expression, "They didn't make it." He moves to take a step forward and collapses.
