Change of plans

As Hopper was about to crush Flik with his foot, Atta rushed in and prevented Hopper from killing Flik.

"Well, princess…" he chuckled.

"Er, Hopper?" Molt said.

Hopper turned around to see that every ant in the colony was boiling in rage.

"You ants stay back or…or your friend here is toast!" he yelled at them.

At this, the ants calmed down immediately. Atta however did not realize and she buzzing above the ground right in front of the grasshoppers' leader.

"You see, Hopper; nature has a certain order. The ants pick the food, the ants KEEP the food –"

"No, you got this one wrong. The ants pick the food, the grasshoppers eat the food…"

"No, they don't."

"Yes, they do."

"No, they don't."

"Yes, they do."

"No, they don't!"

"Yes, they do!"

"NO, THEY DON'T!"

"YES, THEY DO!"

"Are you gonna kill me or what?" Flik intervened slightly.

"Shut up!" yelled Hopper.

"HEY! Don't talk to him like that!" said Atta, angrily.

"Why am I…" Hopper sighed. "Never mind. Just back off, please."

"HOPPER!" Molt sreamed.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT?" Hopper turned to face his idiot brother.

"Um, me and the guys talked about this, and we came to the conclusion that…"

"What are you talking about?"

"Just…wait a sec. Don't kill him, you'll see."

At this moment, Molt, Axel and Loco started whispering to each other, grimacing and making gestures. Hopper, Atta and Flik, who was bored of waiting to be killed and was back on his feet, stared at them and then started looking at each other, trying to figure what was going on. After a little while, Molt looked at Flik and Atta.

"Princess, can you and your ant friend come here to tell you something, please? It will only take a moment." Molt said. Atta and Flik shrugged and went over to talk to Molt and his friends.

"Mind telling me why your brother and my daughter are having a discussion right now?" the Queen asked Hopper.

"I have no idea whatsoever." he answered.

Flik, Atta, Molt, Axel and Loco were now in a hot debate. They whispered angrily at each other, gesturing wildly. Then they all calmed down. In the end, they all started laughing, patting each other on the back. Then Molt addressed the grasshoppers.

"Guys, we've got a change of plans! So, those in favor of leaving the island, raise your hands!" Molt said.

"WHAT? Don't you dare…" Hopper warned his gang.

Nothing happened for a little while. Then Molt raised his hand. Then Axel. Then Loco. And so did Thumper. Suddenly, every single grasshopper in the area raised their hands, except for Hopper (of course).

"So," Molt said, "it's official. Time to leave, fellas!" Molt said, then turned to face Atta and Flik. "Again, thank you for the cooperation, and we're sorry for any damages caused by our men…" he said to the ants, shaking hands with them.

"Nah, don't sweat it. It is nothing. Come back soon!" Atta said.

"All right. See ya!"

Hopper was furious. "You back-stabbing traitors! Where are you going? Get back here, you worms!" he screamed.

"Uh, Hopper?" Molt said as he and the other grasshoppers lifted off the ground, "part of the deal was that, if you don't come with us, the ants can do anything they want to you, except killing you."

"That's the spirit, boss! Tell him!" Axel said.

"B-boss?" Molt stuttered.

"Yes, man. We have made a unanimous decision and chosen you for our new leader!" Loco said.

"BOSS? I SWEAR, WHEN I GET YOU, MOLT, I'LL…" Hopper threatened Molt and his gang while they flew away. But he suddenly stopped when he saw Atta and Flik putting on an evil smile on their faces, as well as the rest of the ants, as they approached him slowly.

"Oh, s# t!"
